Dear Comrades,
I am writing to inform you that I am resigning as a member of the Communist Party of Britain (The Morning Star), as a result of the conclusions drawn, that British Marxism has degenerated to the point where people of other races are not taken seriously and their points of view are often ignored as a result of ignorance on international matters.
To remain within the Communist Party, whilst continuing criticisms towards the Manchester Convention of the Left, would be a political contradiction and betrayal to the Iraqi cause, as I would be guilty of propagating and promoting a regime of ignorance, which is neo-conservative in nature and is based on lies and myths but has also been reflected in the fact, that the Convention have admitted that they do not "understand" the concerns of the Iraqi people, along with the admission that they do not know what is going on.
Even after five years, and the fact that the rest of the planet is aware that one million people have died since 2003, and previous to the barbarians coming to the fatherland, after murdering 1.5 million children under the age of five as a result of sanctions, the CPB is also willing to join forces in the Convention, with organisations like the Alliance for Workers Liberty, an orthodox Trotskyist organisation which openly states that they want British Troops to remain in Iraq, which is a clear violation of the national aspirations of the people of Iraq.
It may be the case that the Communist Party and the British Left, through their involvement in the Convention are not willing to "understand" that millions of Iraqi lives have been destroyed as a result of a real life invasion, with the people of that country wanting troops out. I believe this brings the political direction of both the Communist Party and Marxism into question and with the opposition to the occupation being our number one priority, it is felt that Marxism in Britain is no longer a healthy movement to be working in.
Yours sincerely,
Hussein Al-alak
