Como podrán apreciar, esta información publicada en el día de hoy en el diario Granma , es de suma importancia.

Sería muy grave una posible visita a Portugal de este procónsul estadounidense . Sin duda se afectarían nuestras relaciones bilaterales por considerarse una provocación inaceptable.

Estamos seguros de que los amigos de Cuba tomarán en cuenta la gravedad de la situación y ofrecerán solidaridad y denuncia de estas maniobras, haciendo su parte en la preservación de las relaciones entre nuestros dos países.

En otro pataleo por conseguir presionar a Europa para que se sume a su agresiva y frustrada política anticubana, el régimen norteamericano emprende en el llamado Viejo Continente nuevas acciones injerecistas, protagonizadas en secreto por Caleb McCarry, procónsul designado por Washington para materializar el Plan Bush contra la isla caribeña.

McCarry, el equivalente a aquel administrador de la ocupación estadounidense en Iraq, Paul Bremen, tiene previsto visitar esta semana a Bruselas, Bélgica, con el propósito de intentar obligar a la Unión Europea (UE) a conservar una postura adversa hacia Cuba.

En su periplo injerencista, el procónsul norteamericano incluye, además de la sede de la UE, Alemania y Noruega, y otros países europeos que mantiene en secreto, entre los cuales puede figurar España.

El viaje de McCarry ocurre en momentos en que existe un acercamiento favorable de la UE hacia Cuba, y Washington ve en peligro que el llamado Grupo de los 27 elimine de una vez por todas las sanciones aplicadas a la mayor de las Antillas, en estos momentos suspendidas temporalmente.

Precisamente, en junio venidero, la UE deberá revisar esas injustas medidas impuestas a Cuba, que, desde su aplicación en el 2003, pusieron en tela de juicio la postura independiente europea con respecto a la Isla.

El régimen de Bush no ha cesado un solo instante en intentar obligar a la UE a que mantenga las sanciones a Cuba, y para ello ha utilizado todo tipo de presiones y hasta burdos chantajes.

No fue casual que en mayo del pasado año, tras una positiva visita oficial a La Habana del canciller español, Miguel Ángel Moratinos, Washington desató una escalada diplomática dirigida a truncar cualquier posible cambio de la postura de la UE hacia la nación latinoamericana.

Entonces también varios funcionarios de la Casa Blanca fueron enviados con urgencia a Europa con tal objetivo, entre ellos el propio McCarry, quien, por cierto, fue abucheado y rechazado en cada una de sus visitas por representantes del amplio Movimiento de Solidaridad que con Cuba existe en el Viejo Continente.

Ahora el procónsul norteamericano pretende reeditar su periplo injerecista del 2007 por orden expresa del decadente Bush, quien no ha dejado de patalear por mantener a la UE sumida a sus fracasados propósitos de aislar a Cuba y destruir su Revolución.

We are sure that the friends of Cuba will take into account the gravity of the situation and will offer solidarity and denunciation of these maneuvers, doing their part in the preservation of the relations between our two countries.


In another stomp to put pressure on Europe to join their aggressive and frustrated anti-Cuban policy, the North American regime undertakes in the so-called Old Continent new interventionist actions, led secretly by Caleb McCarry, Proconsul designated by Washington to implement the Bush Plan against the Caribbean island.

McCarry, the equivalent to that manager of the American occupation in Iraq, Paul Bremen, is scheduled to visit Brussels, Belgium, this week with the intention of trying to force the European Union (EU) to retain an adverse position towards Cuba.

It was not coincidence that in May of last year, after a positive official visit to Havana of the Spanish chancellor, Miguel Ángel Moratinos, Washington unleashed a diplomatic escalation directed to truncate any possible change of position of the EU towards the Latin-American nation.

Then several White House officials were also urgently sent to Europe with that purpose, between them the proper McCarry, who, certainly, was booed and pushed back in each of his visits by representatives of the extensive Solidarity Movement with Cuba that exists in the Old Continent.

Now the North American proconsul tries to repeat his interventionist trip of 2007 at the express order of the decadent Bush, who has not stopped kicking for maintaining and sinking the EU into his failed intentions of isolating Cuba and of destroying its Revolution.
