...well, it about time someone talks about this little problem. The UN seems to come up with rules it can not follow through with. They sit back and toss facts and figures around but they infact do nothing to help. They are BIG time capitalists and use the IMF and the World Bank, to serve their own interests.
The UN is full of corruption....Its time for reform!

It remains surprising to me that more socialist/communists do not support the United Nations, as they advocate looting the U.S. wealth to give away to pissant countries that are incapable of solving their own situation. Yes, the United Nations is in need of serious reform, mainly the withdrawl of U.S. support, as we kick the main office out of New York City. Let the rest of the world do without our support, since they hate us so very much.

Considering the number of Chinese, tactical ICBMs would be an excellent preemptive measure if we want to win. Seriously, there remain some serious logistics problems for any large invading army. Anyone who tried to deploy a large force against the U.S. would probably be destroyed before they left their ports. That is why the enemies of the United States are using terrorism. They are too vulnerable if their identifty is known. A stand up fight against the U.S. is something everyone is afraid of, as we have proved our supremacy on the battlefield.
The only thing I can say about the box cutters is have them try it today. It is true namby pamby gun grabbing liberals have weakened our civilian population, with their non-violent nonsense, but our military remains the best in the world.

Well, I think that if the UN ever had any power to do anything I think they'd be a mostly good organization. And guest, in response to your post about guns and the strength of the US military, ours isn't the best. Israel's is. Not that that's a good, thing, but it's a fact. And the sheer manpower of the rest of the WORLD amassed against us (and maybe our bullshit allies, namely Israel, Canada, and England) would most likely defeat our military, no matter how great.

The rest of the world could possibly win in a convention war against the U.S.. We have proved time and time again that we are capable of redefining warfare. Look at how we destroyed the sixth greatest army in the world with no resistance. Our forces rolled right over the Iraqis. Still not convinced. Everyone said that the U.S. would fail in Afghanistan like every other invading army. It would be another Vietnam. If the Russians couldn't do it how can the U.S? Why then have we been so successful? Look at Somalia, a disgrace caused by liberal politicians. What was the kill ratio over there? What about Vietnam, a war lost due to political maneuvering? There was a drastic difference in the number dead on both sides. If the rest of the world threatened us do you honestly think that nuclear warfare would be out of the question? Do you really think our Star Wars defense mechanism is at the stage where we are still trying to knock reentry vehicles down with other missiles? If that were the case why would they show the successful test intercepts on the international media? Disinformation, my friend. I would be willing to bet that we could destroy enemy ICBM's before they left the launch platform. Do you think any air force in the world would be able to pull off another Pearl Harbor? The answer is no. If a sizable force were seen entering U.S. airspace a satellite would release an EMP. The electro-magnetic pulse would fry all the electronics in the enemy craft, and they would plummet into the ocean. The reason we have spent trillions on national defense lies in the fact that we no longer have to fight a conventional war. The men in the Pentagon could sit back and play the war out like a video game. First destroying the eyes and ears of the enemy from outside the atmosphere. Then decimating any hostile forces. The meek shall not inherit the earth.

Who told you that Israel is the best military in the world? They rely on our scraps to keep them alive in that Middle Eastern hellhole. Most of their technology is still inferior to that of the United States.

Actually, we hardly give Israel "scraps" they've got the same technology, but much better training. And I wouldn't call Vietnam and Somalia losses due to "political maneuvering" and "liberal politicians." The opposing force was much, much more concerned with the outcome than the U$ forces were. We didn't belong there either, but that's another debate.

Oldman, the UN has only two observer now, Vatican City, and Palestine. Switzerland has decided to join the UN. So moving the main office to an observer country may not be a good idea right now.

The UN is shit. It keeps on telling Europe and USA to give more money to Africa and Asia. We give them money and their leaders put it in their own bank acounts or spend it on military

Britain and the rest of the west should stop all aid. We should leave them to stand on their own two feet. We should withdraw from UN.
