Racsim does nt simply equal preference over any race, as races do not exist, in the racist, originally referred to an attempt to falsely divide the world up into races and attribute traits to certain "racial grous.

Whyat do exist are different ethnic and natioanl groups.
The definition above from power1 is the best I have heard, racism refers to attacks or discrimination against national ethnic or 'racial' groups.

I get confused when religious groups and race get mixed up.

Like some people think the jews are a race or the Muslims.

I can't agree that there's a white race since there are so many tribalisms within white culture. Technically, Latinos are also white, as are North Africans and Middle easterners.

I'm mostly Celtic, and I feel a racial identity with that group who were persecuted mostly by other white races, notably anglo saxons and vikings.

Generally, race is not a consideration in my daily life, as I work in DC which has every possible culture. We're a little short on pigmys though so if any pigmys are reading you are welcome to come stay with me.
