Israel.

In May and July 2001, the authoritative Jane’s Foreign Report disclosed that Britain and France had given the “green light” to Sharon to attack Arafat if the Palestinian resistance did not stop. The British government was shown a plan for an all-out Israeli invasion and re-occupation of the West Bank and Gaza, “using the latst F-16 and F-15 jets against all the main instillation of the Palestinian authority [and] 30,000 men or the equivalent of a full army”.

However the Israeli plan needed a suicide bomb blast “which causes numerous deaths and injuries. The “revenge” factor is crucial. It would, you see, motivate the Israeli forces to demolish the Palestinians.” What concerned Sharon and his inner circle, notably the author of the plan, Brigadier – General Shaul Mofaz, the Israeli Chief of staff, was a secret agreement between Arafat and Hamas, the Islamic organisation responsible for most of the suicide attacks, that these attacks would be stopped in Israel proper.

On November 23, 2001, Israeli agents assassinated the Hamas leader, Mahmud Abu Hunud. Twelve days later, the inevitable response came in co-ordinated suicide attacks against Israel.

who ever gave the green light to this knew full well that he is thereby shattering in one blow the gentleman’s agreement between Hamas and Palestinian Autherortiy [which was not to play into Israeli hands by mass attacks on its population centres”

Yeah, james, good point, the israelis "set off" the suicide bombers. They wound them up and set them out to destroy. As usual, liberals like to spin facts to make a defending country out to be the ones who are responsible for attacks against them in the 1st place. Par for the course among liberals. Find a way to blame the "big, bad capitalists and their kind", whether or not they are actually at fault. The israelis were attempting to bring down a terrorist regime from the top down, not killing innocent civilians like the coward suicide bombers do.

And i love how you say they are the "defending country", look at 1948, when the State was created, did Palestinians have a say? NO. Now they lived in Israel for some time, maybe a year as second class citizens to the Jews, and who....WHO started the Israel-Palestine war? ISRAEL! they started the attcks to occupy the Gaza strip, which was Annexed by the UK, but otherwise, disputed territory. And in West Bank, which was CLEARLY Jordan territory, but hey, since USA and the UN support Israel, then i guess that they are entitled to Arab land........why?

They started the war over 50 years ago, by occupying Gaza and West Bank. It was never rightfully theirs, and they just wanted it, so they took it. Now if people are willing to pay the ultimate price for land which was and always will be Palestinian, then that really shows a great sign of desperation, doesn't it? Who should have it more? The poor, over-crowded, rightful owners? or the rich, callous, theives? You decide!

USA already has..... but is the US government anything BUT rich, callous, theives.........nope.

Weren't you the one claiming that it was the TALIBANS fault for the dead afghan children, even though they were U.S bombs that killed them? You want to talk about blaming it on someone else? Look at your earlier posts!

I find your opinion most intresting. You seem to have not answered what i said (not that i asked you). You just voiced your opinion that its just us "liberals" "spin[ning] facts"

What facts have i spun?

Where have i voiced any OPINION? I think you will find it is all fact.

Do you even know how Israel came to be? Similar techniques that are used by the palestinians you will find. Israelis didn't exist when they were after a country of their own, so don't use that tired argument (ie "palastinians arn't even a race, they are just arabs").

I'd like you to tell me what i said that was WRONG. And even more, i'd like you to PROVE me WRONG.

Yours lovingly

James
