any advice for starting antifa group?

i would like to start an antifa/leftist group (NYC area), and i would be grateful for some advice. Any good ideas or tips? anyone interested(especially skinheads but all are welcome)?

Try to hold youre group open for all kinds of people. Try to organise own actions and demonstrations.

Hold every month a meeting where everyone can get info how to join and what kind of actions youre planning to do.

Try to make contactes with other groups and hold meetings togheter and try to do actions togheter.

im currently in the process of trying to form an antifa group, steal poster designs and fly post, drag in your mates and indoctrinate them to start with,

i had my first run out practice as fly posting the other night, covered up a BNP spray near my school with antifa and anti-bnp posters,

surely an antifa already exsists if you live in such a built up area?

i have met a few groups (Anti Racist Action, CPUSA, YCL), but i am looking for one with labor working class values and is not a dinosaur. Poster campaign, ok that can work. BNP? that sucks, near me we got the Klan and National Alliance scum. the nazi crews are under rocks but come out for shows.

Yeah, I heard about that. I wanted to go down there for that to fuck up some Nazis, but I didn't hear much in terms of people resisting it. Did anything happen?

i dont know what exactly happened, i "decided" to get arrested for pot. but i do know nazis were there. i dont know about any protest. I never really let forgive myself for missing out. i know that the ARA was there and posting flyers about it but beyond that, i do not know.

i have seen in many books and websites, that liberals should be considered suspect in many antifa groups, why is that?

Liberals are considered suspect because they are bourgeois and tools of the state. they'll try and divert your group from the left sentiment it will feel. also Liberals are usually pacifists who don't like nazis and support their freedom to spread hate. that is unless said liberal is a vehement antifa then you can let them in the group

what happen to the antifa/rash/sharp group that used to hang out around ABC No Rio? when i was in NYC a couple of years back it seemd they had the nazi pest pretty much onder control.
was a good crowd, shame if they all hanged up their boots.

i was just there today! i'm a SHARP and the nazi's are under control, i think, at least i hope to fuckin' god! they have the occational shows, as mentioned above, but they are under the surface for all i can tell.

Start up something similar to old Red Action in Britain or the Revolutionary Front in Sweden. But with even more focus on class struggle (organizing the working class, acting against initiatives, projects, groups, individuals etc. that attacks or threatens the working class, and that also means fascists of cource.

But really, fascists are not even top ten on the list of the greatest threats to our class. Don't make them to big priority, there are more important enemies to fight and more important struggles to participate in. But sure, beat them if you can as long as you don't become another firefighting-group (nazis on [that street], to the antifa-mobile!).
