I'm curious to find out what torrent communities you all belong to. If you belong to some closed-private ones feel free to post which ones. I belong to a ton of Closed torrent communities.
The ones I belong to are below. These are only some of my better ones too :)
SuperTorrents
STMusic
BitMe
TVTrackers
SceneAccess
DigitalHive
Torrent.LT
Waffles.FM
Torrent-Damage
Revolution-TT
HD-Bits.RO
BTW:
If anyone is a member of Revolt.UK.Org please let me know.

For music, I'm much more fond of blogs such as no datta that have the music in zip or rar formats and available for download through third-party sites like zshare or mediafire. You don't have to worry about seeders or anything and you can get some really good recommendations.

Piracy is a beautiful thing indeed! I *only* download through public trackers as I don't like having to register anything. Indeed, private trackers pose security threats to the user that don't exist on public trackers...
Anyway, I mostly use indexes (torrentz/torrentking) and I'm able to find 97.45% of anything I need (music/games/software/movies/porn).
One of my favorite, but now exhausted site as I've clawed through it all, pornorip dot net(as the title suggests -- porn DVD rips! Complete with the front and back covers for easy browsing!).
Comrades! Never torrent without protection! Make sure your IP filters are uptodate...

Yes, peer guardian is great. And the general consensus of the pirating community is that your actually at more risk by downloading from public trackers. Its easier for organizations like the MPAA and RIAA to bust people that download from public trackers. Its best to get invited to a tracker that the RIAA couldn't get invited to if they wanted to.
From personal experience, I have gotten 2 emails from my ISP about torrenting. Both were relating to public trackers, not private. I have never had a problem with my ISP and private trackers.
O and how could I forget the lightning fast speeds on the private trackers.

I'm a member of a public tracker. I was a member of STMusic, but I think they deleted me for not logging in after a while.

On a similar note, anyone have invites to waffles.fm and/or what.cd? I'm going to Rock the Bells in August and I want to increase my hip-hop literacy in the meantime.
