When your feeling down or depressed or sad or angry what movie always seems to brighten up your day or bring you back to a more simpler, better time?

For me it would have to be Indiana Jones and The Last Crusades. It just makes me laugh and smile at the same time. Maybe I'm just a fan of buddy movies?

What about you guys? :)

For me it's probably Monty Python and the Holy Grail or (please forgive me) one of the Harry Potters.

Oh none taken! I love the books. I resisted them like the plague till one day my ex girl friend made me read one and I loved it so much I continued to read all the available ones at the time in a week! Then the final one came out a year later and I rushed to the store to buy it.

It was a weird feeling reading those first 6 though it was summer and I kept listening to the decemberists so now the song "Engine Driver" and the Half Blood Prince are forever entwined together in my mind.

Monty Python is amazing though, especially Holy Grail. Meaning of Life is a laugh riot though. :)

I've never seen that movie in a normal state of mind. :)

Haha my favorite part from that movie without a doubt is "and I'm sure I've touched them all!"

Superbad, suprisingly good for an oversexed teenmovie.

Monty Python for me, too. Classic! I prefer, however, the Flying Circus series, as opposed to the films. But the Holy Grail would be up there, too.
Hot Fuzz.
But generally, when I'm down, I'm just a reclusive motherfucker, or I call a friend who'll cheer me up. :)

I dont really watch movies too often.

I'll usually just listen to music and chill on my laptop.

How could you watch A Clockwork Orange when your feeling down in the gutters??? Your a sick person you know that?

But anyways, I would have to say that comedies are the best for cheering myself up. I love British comedy, Shaun of the Dead, Monty Python, and I also love Austin Powers movies.

Absolutely.

Apparently no one other than Led Zeppelin here has any appreciation of truly cheerful cinema.
