I think that guy would have done anything to please his masters and ensure that America beat the USSR into space.

Not that I don't agree with the sentiments expressed about the man (who had no qualms of making use of slave labour while working with the Nazis) but what is the topic (ie, point) of this thread - that Nazis who work for the US are evil?

I think that it is important to point out that the Soviets also made use of ex-Nazi rocket scientists (Most of whom worked with Von Braun) so we on the left can hardly take the high horse here.

The guy was really smart. His job was making rockets be it for Nazis or the US. If the USSR snatched him up first he'd be doing it for them. There is some Cold War joke that runs along the lines of "Our German scientists are better than yours". I personally think he didn't give a rats ass about who it was for as long as he lived comfortably.

I never thought of it that way. In fact, that is probably the only reason he supported the US.
