"Miseducation by the creationists (http://scienceblogs.com/pharyngula/2008/03/miseducation_by_the_creationis.php)"
How about this as "science"?

It is not so much that cretionism is being "taught" to children, but that it is being tought in opposition to evolution, as if bible verses hold water in scientific discourse.
I have noticed many of the lefties on this board denounce creationism and chritian religious fundmentalism in the US as insignificant or marginilized. However, this despite the victory in the "Intelligent Design" court case in Penn. creationist influence is becoming increasingly common. Is it a mahor threat to science? I don't know but the "brain washing" in this video is rather disturbing and the infleunce of creationism (as an alternative to evolutionism and not as a "philosphy") is not loosing ground, at least in the US.
