Just another attempt at capitalist globalisation. The EU want to expand in order to build a super-state which could rival the U$

what's wrong with that?

USA will finaly get some competition, which can only result in lower prices on various goods.

Then there will be at least 3 different economic super powers, namely Japan, Europe and USA.

Aren't you in favor of breaking that monopoly the USA has on the worlds stock exchange amongst other things?

No, I'm in favour of completely crushing capitalism at all costs. Living in Europe, it's bad enough that we already have governments in our own country but its even worse when Brussels is making most of our decisions now.

you seem to be thriving pretty well in this so called capitalist europe.

For your information, there isn't a single true capitalist nation in europe.
Next time you collect your social welfare check and you pay your taxes and you go to see those goverment subsidesed museums and all you should give it a little thought.

Ah yes, those taxes that I don't pay and those social welfare checks that I don't collect and those museums I never visit. The thing is that it is a capitalist nation that creates social welfare checks to go buy things. There should be no need to buy anything. Needs should be free.

You've just described my version of heaven.

I also think I should be entitled to free sex, instead of ordering out for an escort :P

Did you every learn anything about the former DDR?
Everyone ha the same shoes, almost everyone had the same clothing. Music? forget about that, unless it was part of some propoganda movie.

But don't get me wrong, I would be happy to go out in town and visit all the discotheques for free and get wasted for free.

Do you seriously think is possible to give everyone the same things/luxeries? Everyone an up-to-date computer?Everyone a TV/radio/cd player?
Everyone a nice car?

Yes the above stated things have become enourmesly integrated in modern day society, these things are being viewed upon as basic nessecities.

Hey, while we are at it, I want everyone to live in the same house, with exactly the same size and all.
This means some serious heavy shit housing space is gonna be available when they break down them villa's and and mansions.

Is there anything in communist theory that says everything must be the same. NO. It was just easier to make things that way, to just mass produce everything the same. It doesn't mean it has to be done.
And actually the size of house you live in depends on how many people are in your family.

Has communism ever existed? No. Only attempts to try it, like Stalinism have been implemented. You cannot use that as a basis for your argument as everyone knows how brutal and corrupt a society it was.

I'm not using it as a standard to compare.

But communisme has been implemented the wrong way every time and everyone seems to have some different interpretation of it.

Why don't you just believe in the fact that the majority should decide. If the majority votes a left goverment or communist goverment then that is obviously the way to go for that country(Of course you have to maintain democracy, else it would be very hard to turn back from the chosen direction).
Why do you believe that communisme should be forced up the arse?

Political parties are always adjusting their views to the wishes of the majority to get the most votes, this seems to work very well you should realise.

If it's the Soul wish of the majority to get free gasoline, than eventually the party that has that on it's election program is going to win and implement that.

The EU is an excellent idea, as is the Euro. It makes things alot easier and ensurse stability and prosperity in Europe. I agree with Bono's idea that competition to the U.S. is good. The EU seeks to stop the petty nationalistic and cultural conflicts that have plagued Europe for thousands of years. Solidarity and fraternity!
