I have a family friend who started this political party in the 1950's. Now, they are smaller...but they still exhist and often share ideas with MLA's and other political entities. They are totally excepted by the Canadian Federal Government.

Some more interesting...offically recognised political partie sin Canada: some Socialist, some "Communist"...they are all in agree with each other more or less!

ive written to this party before, the marxist-leninist party founded by hardial baines i was saddened to read that he died a few years ago and at such a young age. As i said i wrote to them a few times, i was supposed to meet with one of them but then they never wrote back. Maybe in the future somethng can be worked out but i do support them as well as the international socialists who operate up in here.

....the US would like to think that Canada is a weak country..but it is not. US hates our socialist leanings and our tollerance of communism.
...if we became as "capitalist" as the US, we would be walked on by the US. They would take over, slowly.

in short : Canada won't roll over for US $. We have too much invested in Socialism.

Actually, thats true, but your capitalist tendancies are just as strong as your socialist tendancies, and you are currently heavily dependant on the united states
