I've done some research into this and I recommend you visit:

www.soaw.org

This is terrible and it needs to be stopped. I'd like to see more Americans educated on the topic so pass the word.

The link doesn't work but absolutely, the School of the Americas should be shut down. How many murderers does the U.S. need to train before its citizenry wakes up?

Good Lord, people once you progress past the age of 17 you'll realize that you'll have to choose between putting up with corporate crap, or being homeless. I choose the former. Oh, and give the political propaganda crap a rest. You're just as bad as the corporate types when it comes to trying to "justify" what you "stand for." You disguise your real purpose behind a wall of ambiguous politician speak and philosophical mumbo jumbo because you think you'll sound more convincing that way. Admit it, guys, you yourselves can't put your ideas into clear, concise wordings because you know you'll end up contradicting yourselves.

Guest and what is it you believe I stand for?

Guest, I don't really understand the point of your post? Who exactly are you talking to?

Oh, it's working now.

Imperial Power, I believe that although some of the things that are posted there might be true, they don't tell the whole story. I am from Colombia, and I can tell you that the military advice that the US have given to the Colombian military is helping prevent many of the terrorist attacks performed by the guerrillas.

The worst terrorist and human right abuses in my country are performed by the leftist guerrillas, don't let anyone fool you, and although there is occasional abuses of power from the military, this is not the norm.

Seeing the political motives of the sight I'm sure you won't find any success stories from the school of Americas posted there. But I agree stopping terroist activities shoudl be a priority and the system needs to be terminated or totally reworked. I'd like to see a congressional inquiry to straighten it out.

I've never understood why we waste money on this crap.

Of course, I'm curious to see what percentage of the graduates have actually gone on to do something evil. I thought the purprotators of the worst human rights absuses in Latin and South America were dictators

Those dictators need people to do the actual abuses.

Right on Imperial Power. But unfortunatly the US`oppression of Latin America goes a great deal beyond its shockingly visible unashamed element. A school of terrorists, a school who`s graduates are prepared to invade the contry of anyone who`population dares elect a socialist goverment. But US intervention and oppression does deaper, just do your resarch and investigate it. Check out how the financial elite in the US "influneces" goverments of south america. Find out also what they do in these contrys, and what they do if the people (and gov) of these contries try to move against US corporations. Latin Americans must think they`re in charge of their own contries! The arrogance!

It's great to see this topic. For a long time, I've been trying to convince hard-liners that capitalism does not automatically equal terrorism. I hate capitalists, sure, but not so much that I would be willing to tell lies about them. (It's not as if there isn't enough damning evidence about capitalism that can be found from the truth!) So it's good to see that there is a capitalist on this board who is against the School of Assassins. While if it weren't for capitalism there would be a lot less terror in the world, terror is not the basis of capitalism. (It's an effect, really. An effect that comes from both communism and capitalism, but comes from capitalism a lot more.) If capitalists and leftists can stand side by side and condemn terrorists and murderers, that would be a very important first step towards making the world a better place, no matter which economic system our descendants in this better world choose to adopt.

Close the School of Assassins,
Lindsay

I've been involved against the SOA for awhile. . .they changed their name. . .probably cause their tired of getting mocked as the School of Assaisans. . . .but yea you can go protest there at like any time and theres usually always somebody there. Or just get a group. . .I've written letters to the Prez about it and I've also written to the School of America Watch,. . .I went to a peace meeting and it showed that over half the people who graduate from there involved in mass civillian masacres. Its sickening. . .definatly something we could all join up on and try to help. :)
