Iraq is one big SNAFU (Situation Normal, All Fucked Up).

The US occupation has radicalized Iraqis and has created a powerful insurgency that has leaned how to effectively ambush poorly defended convoys. The occupation is draining a growing amount of capital away from the US and it can't go on forever. Plus troop moral is dangerously low meaning a high risk of mutinies, there has already been minor mutinies in Iraq.
