Has anyone else noticed that there seems to be a growing anti-Arab/Islam feeling amongst some Iranians?

I first noticed this when watching videos of Iran on "youtube" where all the Iranians were calling for the deposed Shah to be reinstated and stated that Iranians are an "Aryan" people who since 1979 (Islamic revolution) have been taken over by Arabs and, what they call, their foreign Islam religion.

Some even call for the reinstatement of Zoroastrianism as the national religion of Iran.

Does anyone know anymore about this?

They are disillusioned, ultra-nationalist Iranians or the off spring of them who fled Iran after the revolution, mostly to the UK and US. Calling for the reinstatement of Zoroastrianism pretty much sums up that they believe Islam is a purely Arab phenom, and brings problems associated with Arabs to Iran. They also like being associated as "Persia/Persian" rather than going by Iran or Iranian. I doubt this feeling is popular within Iran proper.

Yes, they are nationalists, all nations have them to varying degrees, Iran is definitely not one with a high degree of them.

They're a fringe group, irrelevant.

Anti-Arabism is a very deep and complex thing in Iranian culture - even Iranian Islamic culture. That shit goes back thousands of years.
