John Adams, the minimalist composer, wrote a whole opera based on Richard Nixon's visit to China in '76. The result is bizarre, but beautiful.

^ my favorite movement. It's fun to sing along-
"I speak according to the book! I speak according to the book! The book! The book! book! book! book!"
Also, watch for the smashing of revisionists and capitalist roaders while Pat Nixon looks on helplessly. Muahahaha!

Jiang Qiang: "When I appear the people hang/When I appear the people hang upon my words."

And the Red Army shouting "Joy! Joy! Joy! Joy! Joy! Joy! Joy! Joy! Joy! Joy! Joy! Joy!"

Classic. Even Shostakovich could not have done it better.
