When reading lefty sites, and seeing rightwingers posting...i suddenly wondered "why are lefties and/or their beliefs hated so much?".

Do any of the idiots on here have any valid reasons?

well i can imagine because when you say rightist they think America and imagine a big happy place where everyone is happy and rich, then they think leftist and they think Cuba (which people hate for reasons unkown) Chine (same as Cuba) and the USSR, so I guess its because they still have the idea of Communism = Evil

We hate the left because:

Left = Ignorant
Left = Big Government = No Freedom
Left = Corrupt Political System
Left = Mind Control = Hollywood, MTV, & Genious Propaganda

Capitalist, I like your response. The left are the ignorant ones, that's why they care more for the general welfare rather than be consumed with themselves.

Then the no freedom, nice addition. Did you know that Trotsky didn't agree with a totalitarian system. He expressed his opinion of it to Lenin and he fought fr what would now be known as a social democracy (without the capitalist element). Every nation of Latin-America has had a right wing government. Why don't you ask them (the people of these countries) what "freedoms" they were allowed.

Personally, this has to be my favorite. Corrupt political system. That's why the right is the better choice right? That's why a right wing government in order to beat out communism, the right had to sell drugs and make the drug problem much worse than it already was. Political favors, kickbacks, coups etc., then Enron, need I say more?

Mind control, I won't lie. I'll tell you the truth, the communists definitely tie up the youth to a chair in a secret basement, when they start getting too smart and thinking on their own. Then they run many movies that brainwash them in order to keep them in line.

If Lenin was such a great Humanitarian, can you explain why he ordered his army to assasinate the royal family of Russia?

I could understand killing the Czar

But his children? - there was no justification for that.

You can not ban free enterprise/capitalism and still have freedom. Freedom of Enterprise is almost as essential as Freedom of Speech. It is necessary for building and creating.

The Drug Problem tends to be a left problem - I don't see too many right-wingers smoking dope and doing drugs like the leftist hippy generation, or the way leftist Hollywood glamourizes drug use.

The Drug Problem could be solved over night by forced rehabilitation. You take a drug user and confine them until their body is free of the drug. You don't give them light sentences and expect them to be cured.

The Drug Problem must be solved in the USA - not overseas. As long as poor peasants recieve 10X as much for growing cocaine vs. coffee, then they will continue to grow the drugs, and quite frankly I do not blame them for doing so because I'd probably do the same.

Enron has nothing to do with Capitalism. In fact they are living proof that Capitalism works. If you don't contribute, than there is no reward.

The CDRs, the control on free media and newspapers, the ban on opposing political parties, the ban on religion

Are You Blind?

That is all mind control tactics used by communists.

I'm anti-leftist because of their common rebellion against reality. But being more specific, I offer the following 10 reasons which is by no means complete. My actual list of grievances against the left is much, much, much longer and is continually growing.

1) The left is antihuman. It's philosophy is based on the presumption that personal safety, comfort, and pleasure are the sum of a good life and that equalizing these things among differing people is the fundemental objective of a just society. Thus, allegiance to non- material ideas and concepts (e.g. religion, ethnicity, gender roles, and family) that have been with mankind since the dawn of time must go and that truth and morality are a matter of personal taste. It categorically denies the people's right to derive any meaningful existence outside of material interests. Ergo it is antihuman.

2) The left stands for a universal homogeneous world order based on the delusion than man can be manipulated at whim to conform to the movement's ideal society. To them people are blank disks to be that are to be written with only what the left wants them to contain. If the disk doesn't contain the correct file then it's to be reformatted or discarded.

2) They have absolutely no desire to mitigate the wreckage of humanity left in their wake*. In fact, they're asinine enough to argue that the horrible banality, uncivility, and atomization affecting modern man is a positive good.

3) Everything that is worth pursuing is material and conflicts are best resolved by the all-powerful state instead of through community consensus (i.e. tradition). Especially material inequality. Thus their unyielding commitment to stratospheric tax-rates and an ever expanding bureaucratic class comprised of experts who alternate between actively robbing the public blind, suppressing liberty and living a parasitical existence.

4) They stand for a "democracy of well trained dogs" where people vote as they're told by the government, media, 'experts', and the educational establishment. Groups that support them are lavished with government subsidies and groups that oppose them are singled out for vindictive reprisals and ridicule in the public square.

5) Not that opposition to their policies by the majority will ever stop them, with extra-democratic means available like lawsuits, judicial activism and armed violent revolution.

6) Their insufferable smugness and arrogance borne of their intense elitism. When the public support their policies it's a sign of progress and enlighted thinking and when publicly opposed it's a sign of the public's ignorance and the need for corrective measures.

7) Their polices create devestating social problems which they blame on reactionaries and propose remedies which only aggrevate the problem.

8) Perpetual peace to them means perpetual war on all non-believers. The thought as never occured to them that most people would rather be left alone.

9) Their concept of diversity is an absurd sham. They've already stated that meaningful ethnicity is a retrograde concept. If there is no meaningful difference between the Japanese, African, or Anglo; Jew, Chistian, Muslim or atheist; man or woman then what is the point of diversity? Could it be that "diversity" is a trojan horse to reward favored political groups? Diversity and Multiculturalism are just code-speak for "we'll let you keep your ethnic food and folk dances, and maybe we'll throw in a ethinic holiday or two and you might get favorable treatment in employment lines if we can have your undivided loyality . . . and you give up the bulk of your ethnicity." Which is, of course, racial discrimation mascarading as racial equality. What a joke.

10) Their subversion of the educational system which has replaced the pursuit of truth with the pursuit of a ruthlessly enforced political orthodoxy. Stop by the Vandy website and see the "Student Committee on Biased Speech" which is funded and supported by the admistrative bureaucracy. They actually have the gall to report people who refuse to tow the left-wing sectartian line to the campus police! Even if dissenters manage to get past the extenisive vetting process, they're likely to be heckled, shouted down or receive death threats. At least if the venue is not closed down by threats of rioting and violent demonstrations. Talk about free speech! Or maybe crime-think is a better word.

My views on Marxism are notorious and public. It's a crime against humanity. Period. In fact, the case can be made that people plotting to install a Communist government should be tried in court for attempted crimes against humanity and conspiracy to commit crimes against humanity.

Solzhenitsyn, i haven`t a cue of what your talking about, but your delusions of what the "left" constitutes are lucdicrous at best. Maybe some points apply to stalinists, which are right wing criminals, but for the most part your post is one conglomerate of logical absurdities, prejudicies and lies that is quite frankly not worth my time.

solzenitsyn, you've totally missunderstodd.communism.

The left is antihuman. It's philosophy is based on the presumption that personal safety, comfort, and pleasure are the sum of a good life
Thats not true.Communism says that every human must have personal safety, comfort and pleasure.Commism isn't based on the idea that these things are the sum of a good life.I'd say these things are the foundation of a good life.

I think there are a few points we are missing here. I think most of us can agree than neither pure communism nor pure capitalism exists. The present systems that contemporary empires are based on lie on a spectrum between the two theoretical
ideologies. Now, we could argue all day about the academic principles of each system, but real world data suggests that Capitalism is the much better system. The
free-marketcapitalist system that America represents has produced the strongest economy that has ever existed, and the best standard of living ever. Even America's
poor live relatively well. This is a measurable fact. Notions of exploitation of
thirld world countries for the most part amount to nothing more than making excuses for nations that have not been as industrious and ingeneous (and to some extent lucky) asthe US has been. I mean, please, exploitation? What do you call standing in line 4 hours for a loaf of
bread? Killing 50 million people (Stalin)? Crushing students in tienemen square with tanks and executing individuals for religious beliefs (Tibet) What more needs to be said??? Another consideration is that capitalism encourages individual innovation and acheivement. This principle is proven in reality in thatthe vast majority of technological innovation that has
benefitted humanity in the last 150 years has come out of the United States. This
includes both the computer you are looking at and the internet you are communicationg
through. Also, we discuss exploitation of smaller countries by the U.S, but fail
to address the fact that the US is by far the most humane and alturistic country on earth, both in terms of dollars spent (debt relief and direct monetary aid) and in people and organizations contributing service and aid abroad. When there is a major natural disaster, what is the only country to contribute money and resources to assist in aid? The USA. I cant remember a time when the Soviets, Cuba, or China contributed to foreign relief of any kind. Finally, immigration. The USA has quite a challenge accomodating the thousands of immigrants (worker-class, mind you) that enter its borders daily. Many of these people are risking both their and their family's life just for an opportunit to get in.Why? Because capitalist "workers" still live much better than communist or socialist
"workers". Needless to say, China, Cuba, and the then Soviet union (failedsystem, remember?) had no immigration problem. Their border control budgets were
allocated to keep people in!!! Its a self explanatory phenomenon!!! So, we could argueacademic and philisophical principals all day, but real world data and behavior makes it self evident that the American form of Capitalism is by far the best system going today. Also, I have been pretty much discussing economic aspects of capitalism, to say nothing of the personal freedoms and the opportunity given to Amercian citizens to pursue success and what makes them happy. These fundamental principles are, to say
the least, severely hindered by centrist governments. Look at real world activity, and you see the best real world system.

James,

I personally don't "hate" socialism. And I know I can speak of for a lot of my capitalist friends as well. It is not about hate, it is just the understanding that socialistic ideas look very nicely on the paper but don't work in real life. Socialism is for utopians and dreamers and overlook the realities of human nature.

Why do you talk about "hate"? If anything it is the left that always is spreading its hate against capitalism. Have you ever seen Americans burning a Cuban flag?. American flags are burned constantly by the left. Leftists are disrespectful.

I said right wingers. Right wingers HATE communists. Hitler hated communists more than he hated anyone else is one example. The BNP encourage its youth members to make their schools "commie free area's". Right wingers do hate communism, thats what i was asking about. Not the liberals who don't share the same ideas as far left people. Not the capitalists who are more liberal right wing conservatives...but i meant the RIGHT WINGERS. The far right. They really do hate communists, but i can't seem to find out any reason why. Take the nazi party for example; what were they? They were national socialists. Basically socialists who were nationalists...in theory...so their principles shouldn't really differ that much. The nazi party wanted to preserve Germany for the "germans", the real germans, but were they also socialists? I'd say yes, in part. This is very evident if you look at some of the policies intorduced by the nazi party, however, these were usually introduced to keep the workers happy, so that they would produce more, and hopefully make germany an autarchy (state that was self officent etc etc). Anyways, i'm getting side tracked now,

Thats what i was asking. Why do the right wingers hate the left? The far right. Sorry if it came over a bit narrow minded.

capitalist imperial i agree with you. Capitalist america is the best working system in the world today. It's true communist countries are extremely poor and have a very low GDP per capita. but thats only because Communism was never designed to prosper in a world with about 260 (im not sure what the exact number is) diffrent countries in witch only 5 of those are communist. Communism was designed to be a world wide government.

If you took all the communist countries and made then capitalist then took all the capitalist countries and made them communist. i'm sure the 5 capitalist countries would last 2 or 6 years if there lucky. If the world was communist it's economy would be twice as strong and the living standards would be twice as good. It's true that the world is thriving under the capitalist system but dosn't mean it wouldn't be better under the communist system.

in relation to the BNP, socialists are not much better. Look at the 'anarchists' who cause trouble on May Day. if before they had encountered socialism, they were taught about fascism, they would be fascists. the truth is both the far right and far left breed in the same social pools- poorer working class areas. it only takes a few skinheads to stir racist issues and there you are.

it is even more evident here in northern ireland. sinn fein are parading about as a left wing party. in reality, their grass roots are all extreme anti-british, xenophobic ignorant gits. Gerry Adams and a few more able people are driving the entire thing. but even gerry ain't exactly a socialist. the protestant side is the same- all loyalist paramilitaries claim to be socialist (that must be when they are not sectarian or gangsters).
Hilter was against the communist party mainly becuase they were absorbing young unemployed germans- people he could have used. the Nazis and the Communists both grew in strength during the great depression...

James

i dissagree with some of that, but agree with the rest. It is true though that interlectuals are more often left wing than right wing (of course i'm not implying that all interlectuals are either one or the other, or that all left wingers are anarchists). In response to the may day thing;

I feel that a few people that go to may day are simple thugs, they use, like you said in away, the name to give them an excuse to do what they want. I;m not saying that all the people that go to may day are thugs. I'm just saying a few probably are...and these are the people we will read about the next day in the papers.

I think that the BNP are not really the same as socialists...just look at the theory. In theory, the left should be free, everyone is equal, and every one is welcome to share. On the right, we have a new type of socialism; in this "version" everyone is free (if you support the government that is), everyone is equal (except some are "more equal than others") and everyone is welcome to share (as long as you are part of the proper race).
