Yeah. So. Um. Writing about myself has never been one of my talents.

I'm a [age withheld out of denial]-year-old anarchist living in Los Angeles. I got my BA in political science from UCLA, a school which, while excellent, puts too much focus on theory and not a whole lot on practice. There's this whole apathetic "okay, things suck, so let's sit around and talk about it like it's a soap opera rather than fix anything" vibe in academia which is a real drag.

That said, I'm stuck in this apathetic rut. I don't know anyone. I'm not involved in anything, I don't do anything, and as long as I have my dog I'm content never seeing any other human being, ever. Do I want out? How should I know; I'm being apathetic here, sheesh. :glare:

There's this march this Saturday in Hollywood but ANSWER seems to be run by Stalinists, and I'll be buggered if I march with Stalinists. So, you see, that just leaves me here doing nothing. Blah.

So anyway I've been lurking for a while and I thought it would be nice to talk about stuff with more-or-less like-minded people for a change. I usually hang out at deviantART and they're a little, you know, status quo. "You can't blame politicians for playing politics and selling out!" Oh presto, I just did, how 'bout that.

I'm not usually such a downer, really. Mostly I'm all about the Super Happy Pantsless Fun Time, WHEEEEEEE but I've just been feeling really isolated lately, politics-wise.

Anyway, nice to be here and all. Thanks for reading. Or skimming. Whatever. :thumbup:

Its a site where people state their activities and groups that meet around your area. You may be able to find some people with similar interests and meet them in person, not in online forums. No offense.
