I wonder when the Bush administration will come out and say that Iraq didnt have WMD's after all as well?:D

Thoughts?

Obvious statement is stating the obvious.

Obvious statement is stating the obvious.

Still, to hear this admission straight from the horses mouth makes it that much more satisfying.

It will also shut all those Conservative American Patriotic idiots up with their usual justification of the Iraq war excuses like "We got rid of a big bad Dictator (Who you happened to support both economically and militarily in the 80's) who was harbouring terrorists and developing WMD's".

Yes, it is good news indeed. Too bad it will change absolutely nothing though.

This kind of thing isn't new. Let us remember that the US made the taliban when they created the mujahadeen to fight off the invading Soviet forces in Afghanistan and funded and trained Osama bin Laden.

As much as it would be pleasing to hear it from the Bush administration, it still wouldnt change anything. Iraq would still be the hellhole it is now, and us conservatives would still have the "getting rid of an evil dictator" card to play on.

This is all old. It was first reported back in '04. Get with the times, man!

They knew this in 2001-2002, when they were making the case for the invasion of Afghanistan, and all investigative agencies and news media were reporting Saddam had nothing to do with 9/11 or Al Qaida and infact the two groups despised one another.

Well, I'll be damned. The right bourgeoisie admitting a mistake? The souls in hell must be shivering right now.

They admit their mistake? I guess that makes everything okay, doesn't it?

Yeah sorry about the date of the story, its just that i heard something about this on BBC news 24 the other day where the Pentagon came out saying that Saddam had no links to Al Qaeda and then Bush added something (The usual shit about how it was still right to get rid of Saddam and how, even though Saddam didnt support Al Qaeda, he himself used terrorism against his own people) and i went looking for an article to link to (Without checking the date).

Ah here is what i was talking about:
