I wish i could...I love slide. Have you got Alligator records slide guitar collection...tis fab:D Johnny Winter - Its my life baby is the best track on that album

Nah I haven't mate, I'll check it out. Don't know much by Johnny Winter either, so thanks for the recommendation. For some really decent slide, I seriously recommend some of the older guys like Bukka White, Son House, Blind Willie Johnson and of course Robert Johnson.

And oh, George Clinton ftw

If you like that you should check out Blind Willie Johnson's Dark Was The Night Cold Was The Ground, which is what Ry Cooder based Paris, Texas on. It's probably the most haunting song ever recorded.

I use a guitar slide with electric guitar, but to make interesting noises. Try this at home sometime:

Set a delay pedal up to 2+ seconds of delay. Set your volume pedal to 0 and pluck a note with your slide on the fret. Slowly turn the volume pedal up to 10 while sliding up to another note that is like 4+ steps away. You'll make a really interesting sound that kind of reminds me of melodic whale calls. I used to do this in a band I was in and it added a nice touch.
