Has anyone read any of the autobiographical books about The Clash, or Joe Strummer? And if so was it informative or enjoyable for you?

I did a quick information search on Amazon and it looks like there are two Clash titles and five or so on Joe Strummer. I've only read up on them in a few Punk books, but I'd love some feedback before going to the local indie store to order something.

I have a few book on The Clash & Joe Strummer.
The best 2 are 'Redemption Song' and 'A Riot Of Our Own'.

Thanks Bazza

That makes me think o this video - Joe's mural being painted with his cover of Redemption song playing. Very nice.

I was the first person to post that video up on YouTube -

I have noticed that people have started copying my Redskins videos and then reposting them on YouTube. I can't see the point myself when the videos are already up there. I know that the Redskins videos are copies of mine as the original versions don't have the song titles at the start like mine do.

Beautiful video!

"Damn," I miss that guy so much... I loved his style, his voice, his mind, everything. There are a lot of hardcore leftist bands, but I don't like hardcore, I love music just the way he wrote, sang and played it.

Looks like you like the Redskins a lot - I do too. For me, they are hard to get a hold of though (bootleg).

Well, the Redskins only ever released the one album.
But there's talk of a CD coming out later this year featuring rare & unreleased Redskins tracks including 6 studio recordings by the pre-Redskins band No Swastikas.
