A close friend of mine who identifies herself as a "post-Marxist" in conversations holds a very queer position: she believes worker control does not come after capitalism, but rather that the petite-bourgeoisie will win out against giant corporations. She emphasizes the recent growth in the anti-corporatist movement on both the Left and Right - some other conclusions she's made concern the abolition of patents and strengthening of consumer power. Does anyone know of any other theorists who have reached a similar conclusion? What are your thoughts?

It sounds like a very unstable, very theoretical idea. There might be a phase of something like this to some sort of minimal degree, but I think it's very unlikely that it'll "win out" in any meaningful sense.

Given the polar opposite is happening, I find that most unlikely.
