With not only Raul Reyes, but also Ivan Rios who was murdered by a traitor, what do you think the future holds? for the most important and one of the last revolucionary movements in latin-america.

They will continue to fight. If they're gonna try to shut down the FARC, they're gonna have to do better than that.

I hope so, because they're the only serious force right now that can fight againts the capitalist and the US imperialism. Too bad they don't have much mass support:(
Does anybody know, who will replace the dead guerrilleros? I heard they're going to have a meeting to decide that.

Correct comrade.
As a matter of fact, I think that internally the FARC–EP is far more democratic than certain states and democracies; our maximum organ of leadership in the FARC–EP is the National Conference of Guerrilla Fighters, which meets every four years (or more, depending on the war situation). The leaders, without exception, are elected by the votes of all the guerrilla fighters. In other words, there are no appointments. It is by popular vote, by the votes of FARC–EP members, that democracy (and the question of hierarchies) is managed within the guerrilla movement

They'll replace the leaders they've lost and continue the struggle as they have been for over fifty years now. The Colombian goverment and the AUC have been targeting FARC leadership for years, there's no reason to belive these two recent assassinations will break FARC.

What about the proletariat? The FARC, right now, is a useless force. They are terrorists who, yes, are opposed to the Colombian government and are fighting up in the hills with the armies of imperialism but, to what end? They get more recruits, more recruits die. A cycle that is unproductive. We cannot, put any faith in a guerrilla insurrection at this time. If FARC had millions of proletarians joining to overthrow capitalism, then it would be a different story. We must put faith in the oppressed proletariat of South America. Only then can capitalism be beat, with a majority of people consciously choosing to rid themselves of their chains, not a handful of fools acting without the workers.

As a Trotskyist, shouldn't you support ALL anti imperialist forces, be them worker or non worker?

I never said I was anti-FARC. I have no problem with leftists trying to combat capitalism, but as a Trotskyist I am opposed to their futile efforts. They need workers control and support. Acting like an independent body from the workers is actually alienating workers from them and themselves from workers.

This is by no means the beginning of the end. If I am correct, membership is on the rise, and I'm sure that they'll keep fighting for a good long while.
