The title is here, and it's what i'm asking myself. When we get a chance to join, be a part of what we are against now, will we? I can't say no now. If i get a chance to work for microsoft (or any imperialist, capitalist, anti-freedom based companies) and if they offer more than any other companies could, would i refuse? I know what i should, but will i do what i should? Will you? Why?

Depends on a lot of factors. Status, sincerity, background, family, etc. To me, I hope not.

Working for capitalists does not make you a capitalsit. We nearly all have to do that. Hence capitalism sucks really...

people from prole backgrounds are far more likely to jump for the chance to climb up the social ladder due to the capitalist system as they are the ones who feel a need to accumilate, and to work for security.

your fucked either way really

we are all part of capitalism anyway. that's the point. we overthrow it from within. plenty of my comrades work for banks or multinats r the like. so what? communists aren't expected to starve rather than work for a capitalist.

I don't think I'll become a wealthy capitalist. I doubt I'll ever enter the 'middle class'. I have only a little money for college, so it's not like I'll be able to go to college, and buy a business. Considering how committed I am to revolutionary change, it's doubtful I'd ever betray my beliefs.

I'd reccommend that if anyone here thinks that they'll fall into reactionary tendencies, they ought to sacrifice something for the movement. Everyone ought to get some experience working for change, particularly spending at least a night in jail. After I spent a night at my local Downtown lockup things became rather clear to me:

what it was that needed to be changed
who my class enemies were
how much I was willing to sacrifice for my revolutionary beliefsetc.
It was a real growing experience for me.

Off topic, but why, COMRADE CRUM, are you supporting Ron Paul? Or is there some joke I don't get involving the spelling "Ru Paul?"

Haha I was thinking that right before I read your post.

Probably a misspelling.

Ru Paul isn't a spelling of Ron Paul. Ru Paul is a person.

RuPaul is a transvestite singer. I'm making a joke, saying I'd rather vote for RuPaul instead of Ron Paul. Given how Ron Paul is so bad on gay rights, I thought it was an ironic joke.

I AM NOT A PAULTARD! AT LEAST NOT A RON PAULTARD!!:D

Of course I would!
Communism is not about being poor on pourpose!
Its about the emancipation of the proliteriat.
If you can get a good paying job and still work for the advancement of the proliteriat even though now you have the opportunity to close your eyes, then you are really a communist. Like Fredrich Engels.
But if you think changing your job would change your mind, then go fuck yourself right now.

Personaly I think we all should get good jobs or something of the equivalent, because revolution isnt free you guys....
the shit aint free.
Bullets aint free, guns aint free, clothes aint free, food aint free.....doctor stuff aint free, and when you start starving you'll see...motherfuckin taalk aint free!

If you got a job for microsoft Id expect that now you can eat and pay your rent that you would have the kind of income you can give at least 30 percent to the struggle.
What is wrong with that?

Like I said , if a better job would stop you from being a comrade to the people, you aint shit now!

If any proletarian had the chance to "climb the social ladder" into bourgeois paradise it is inevitable they will. The reason for this being that our material conditions of existence necessitate such action. Remember it is not the consciousness of men that determines their material/social existence, but their social/material existence that determines their consciousness/human nature.

When one lives within a capitalist society their nature and actions are inevitably defined and shaped by the existing social relations, today individual benefit and the profit motive. So of course if one was offered a chance to become a member of the bourgeoisie they would of course take it. Saying otherwise is really only idealism, rejecting the material reality of the situation.

But remember it follows from the statement that it is a mans material existence that determines their consciousness, that he can remain a communist whilst being a member of the bourgeoisie. If a man has witnessed the plight of the proletariat first hand and recognizes the necessity of proletarian revolution then there is nothing stopping him from being a communist. This happening can only occur under special circumstances and all "bourgeois communists" should be regarded amongst the proletarian masses with the utmost suspicion.
