Yes, that's right. In my infinite wisdom and magnanimity I, chairman Jazzratt have decided to give you, the valued subjects - er citizens - of The People's Democratic Republic Of The Opposing Ideologies (Gulag) a place to chatter mindlessly.
Basic revleft rules apply, sexism, homophobia, racism and other forms of discrimination will earn you a one way ticket to bansville and this thread is subject to closure at the whims of the Administration team.
Finally, this thread is not an excuse to post off topic stuff in the general OI forum and is in fact designed to cut back on that, so to this end "mindless" chatter includes your bad taste in beer, whether or not you prefer Star Trek or Star Wars and whatever other off topic details you feel the need to post.

Yes, a great idea.
In the forum I am a moderator on, there is a thread exactly like this one and used for the same purpose, for what kind of beer u like and so on,except its called "chat it up"
Its also used for like if a topic gets off topic discussions then u could just move over to 'chat it up' and talk there without making a thread off topic.
this idea for a chat it up thread really works well.

Yeah, as non-political topics aren't allowed in this forum and some users are restricted to only post here, there may among them develop an urge to make of topic/non political posts. Hopefully this small platform can act as a valve, to let out some of the chatter-steam. :)
I really hope everyone makes an effort to make this work decently and by the rules.
If it does, who knows which further privileges may be granted to the 'caged ones' in the future.

From the draw an MS Paint rightwinger (http://www.revleft.com/vb/draw-ms-right-t66687/index3.html) thread in the Plastic & Graphic Arts forum. It was posted by Ulster Socialist, along with this quote:
And then, we'll all turn into beings of pure light and energy, and ascend into the heavens for an eternity of bliss.
Ulster, this is becoming futile. Your posts are filled with nothing but idealistic supposition and fantasy. We are interested in the here and now, and you refuse to do anything but speculate, and act hurt and angry that reality doesn't live up to your imagination. Granted, your imagination is fertile, and maybe you'd be a good science fiction writer or something. But you have given us no reason, nothing at all other than your own beliefs and personal desire, to think that anything like this will ever happen. Well, that's not good enough. Good intentions make poor paving stones.
I am truly sorry that reality falls far short of your dreams. I think, however, you will find it far more productive to work within that reality rather than expending so much time and energy raging ineffectively against it.

My first bit of "reactionary" chatter will be a story.
The other day at work, we were standing around waiting to leave. This buffon named Chip, and I mean that in the most stereotypical imagery, was apparently bothered that Hispanics on the jobsite were speaking their native tounge(s) and proceeded to mock them, by making unintelligible noises. I was so disgusted that I felt the immediate urge to punch him in the face. I have been involved in immigrants' rights for a long time, and it really pisses me off when fuckheads like these insult them on racial grounds. So I just shunned him, and mind you violent urges and shunning are very rare for me, especially on the jobsite. He is the only person I disliek there, besides the foreman for the Hispanic workers who takes his anger out on the translator and works his workers to death.
Oh, he also insinuated that construction workers (all the peopel present, including him) were stupid, when I said "stupid college kids" when talkign about the obnoxious, loud, antagonistic, rich, military - supporting dicks that live directly below me.
Yeah, it's hard to really piss me off, but such flagrant racism and classist bullshit struck a nerve that day.

True. Although, there's constantly a vague hint - at least to me - of something just a bit off, like there's something you're not seeing, something they don't want you to see. Certain disquieting facts are revealed but never really explained.
I once postulated the theory that Star Trek in the time of TNG actually was a communist military dictatorship, albeit a somewhat benign one.
"This is why the Federation, by the time of Picard, has devolved into a military dictatorship. The only apparent choices, when confronted with the discovery of technology as dangerous as matter transportation and mass-energy conversion, it seemed the only logical choice. Replicators, warp drives, and transporters could easily give every single person a comfortable lifestyle, but were so incredibly dangerous that they could never be allowed to fall into untrusted hands. So, Starfleet (and later, the Federation) established itself as the only entity allowed to possess such dangerous technology, strictly and ruthlessly enforced, but in return, provided every person on the planet with all their material needs.
This, of course, resulted in the elimination of free markets, because the only thing that could not be easily replicated was land. For a brief time, it was worried that, having nothing of value with which to negotiate the buying and selling of land, violence would break out between those that owned land and those which did not, and now could not because even human labor was now of minimal value. As a solution, Starfleet confiscated all privately owned land. Thereafter, land was apportioned to individuals on the basis of their contributions to Starfleet. This is one reason why, despite being a very hazardous occupation, it was so hard to get into the academy - becoming a member of starfleet was one of the only ways to gain significant amounts of landed property, though of course scientists and other professionals who rendered their services to Starfleet as civilians, while they could not be paid with any material goods (material goods having lost all value), were paid with land as well.
The major exception was for human colonists. In order to promote human expansion, increase the amount of available Earth land available for Starfleet apportionment, and to encourage the dislocation of dissidents, colonists were granted the right to appropriate land on other planets according to whatever method of apportionment the colonists wished to choose - subject, of course, to the needs of the Federation.
The net result of this policy was that most people remaining on earth were Starfleet supporters, and dissidents were strongly encouraged to leave Earth and colonize other parts of the quadrant. While a few colonists, desperate to escape the clutches of Starfleet, left federation space altogether, most could not afford to do so, having been stripped of the right to own weapons by the Federation and thus being almost totally defenseless and needing the protection of Starfleet. But Starfleet protection was not by any means inexpensive. In return for protection, Starfleet demanded complete obedience. Colonists were forbidden from owning energy weapons, warp vessels, or unauthorized replicators. Starfleet was even skeptical about allowing fusion reactors, but ultimately realized the necessity of it. As a result, however, Federation observation posts and starbases were never far away.
Eventually, some few came to understand all that had been lost in the great and glorious transition to an interstellar race, but they did not openly discuss it."

I don't see any of that Communist stuff at all. Don't forget Star Fleet was a militaryesque organization, so all of the tools and clothes and food were supplied. The second you stepped into the "civilian world" you were charged for your purchases in gold pressed latinum. Yeah. It's not exactly Communism. But I think that without money (ie commoditization,) that could be a form of personal property since they weren't exploiting anybody and they weren't getting rich in any way. It was always more of a productive hobby.
Secondly, look at the Ferengi! It's at least anti-Capitalist even if it isn't rigidly communist. Very progressive (and good!) show, especially for the mainstream(well, kind of mainstream).

Hmmmm...I re-watched it last night after not having seen it in years. I still like it. Maybe you have to be in the right mind-frame though. I find the movie to induce what I can only describe as a state of hypnosis, especially conducive to the God's-eye contemplation of humanity that the movie takes. Then again, it may just evoke different emotions in me than most other people. It seems from perusing imdb that most people take it to be misanthropic at worst, and castigating at best. Yet the feelings it most raises in me are awe, pride, and anticipation.

Tolkien was not any sort of "anarcho-monarchist" (whatever that means). Indeed, that term doesn't actually mean anything.
Wikipedia says, that he said, "My political opinions lean more and more to Anarchy (philosophically understood to mean abolition of control, not whiskered men with bombs) – or to 'unconstitutional' Monarchy."
Again from Wikipedia, "He voiced support for Francisco Franco's Falangist regime during the Spanish Civil War upon learning that Republican death squads were destroying churches and killing large numbers of priests and nuns."
It also says he was some what of a conservative (that is, desiring slow change and thinking that traditions are probably good, rather then any particular type of conservative in any particular society).
I would suggest that he probably didn't know what anarchism was as such, and that the anarchy he supported (if he supported it at all) was probably something along the lines of the Hobbit community in Shire.
(And off on a different track, who were the conservatives in 1991 in the USSR/Russia? Were they the ones who wanted to keep "socialism" or the ones who wanted capitalism? Or the ones who wanted to go back to Feudalism perhaps? Now, can you see what is wrong with the term unless you clarify it?)

I thought I would save this from the trashcan for all you good communists who have been sent to this camp unjustly.
Obviously a counter-revolutionary clique of revisionists and capitalist roaders have manged to usurp power from the supreme assembly of the dictatorship of the proletariat.
I'm sure when the chairman hears about, he'll release us.
One glaring omission in Marxist-Leninist science, allthough probably many of the classic leaders would agree with my proposal, is the unfair division of labour that exists with the process of pregnancy, labour and birth.
A trailblazing school of thought has emerged in discussions between certain comrades in which the anti-marxist state of oppression which exists in which women take the full burden of the child bearing process has been thoroughly criticised.
A genuinely scientific, proletarian and above all; marxist, solution is apparent to all serious-minded comrades:
If we are to smash this bourgeois division of labour we must undertake the task of sovietising the womb!
What does this mean in practice? Well, first of all men must be able to have babies. Anything less is bourgeois evasiveness of the central question and thus ignoring the obvious solution.
The great revolutionary and developer of marxism, Mao Zedong, once said that 'Women hold up half the sky."
Well, who is holding up the other side? In the question of the bourgeois status of the womb, we find that the other 'half of the sky' is collapsing.
This is unacceptable, and we must call on all marxist and progressive scientists to begin work immediately.

Society its to blame!:cursing:
(and capitalists too, can't ever forget them;))
So there is a real communist solution to this. Lets communally share boyfriends/girlfriends , husbands/wives. It causes severe sociological damage to a not so attractive person to see attractive people happy together.
For example; suppose a not so attractive girl ( maybe not busty, fat, or whatever) sees an attractive girl ending up with the best looking guys. Well the fault is in the guy for considering the attractive girl attractive in the first place and not considering the unattractive girl attractive. His own perception of whats attractive and not attractive are just social constructs that must be abolished. We will make him conform to what we, the people's democratic bureau, will decide what is acceptable in society.
Lovers must be communally shared so everyone ends up with an attractive mate. It is simply unfair to deprive someone of an attractive mate while others get them.
Good Idea? :blushing:
Dejavu
3rd April 2008, 17:29
Or we can mandate that everyone in society get one final cosmetic makeover (surgery included). The Peoples Democratic Cosmetic Bureau will decide what 'look' is attractive for society and this will make everyone equally (un)attractive.

Football, in this sense, refers to soccer. Many European football teams have very strong left-wing fanbases. There was a big thread with great discussions, and all kinds of pictures of masses of people with Cuban flags, hammers and sickles, etc. But the regents have condemned it as degenerate, and now we can't see it anymore.
More bourgeois degenerate threads that our dear leaders have relieved us from:
Let's see some of the recent examples of the "meaningless drivel" in "Shit-Chat":
1) LOL @ Lidl, (literally) working for a slave-wage (http://www.revleft.com/vb/../../lol-lidl-literally-t71565/index.html)
Led Zeppelin's thread about his dealings with the capitalist system and its relations of production and so on is "irrelevant" in this forum, because as we all know it's more important to talk about abstract questionable concepts or about how sexist revolutionaries who died 100 years ago were than everyday realities of the working class.
2) Guns! (http://www.revleft.com/vb/../../guns-33-t61004/index.html)
Somehow gun control/ownership is an important issue in first world countries but any thread about them here is deemed a sin by Saint Marx, although guns could play a big role during a revolution
3) Should Revleft apoligize to MIM? (http://www.revleft.com/vb/../../should-revleft-apoligize-t70408/index.html)
Who gives a fuck about a controversial Maoist organization who everyone criticizes a lot here, even in the other forums? Obviously nobody.
4) Reading (books, essays, etc) on the internet (http://www.revleft.com/vb/../../reading-books-essays-t71210/index.html)
The medium in which people read texts by such authors like Karl Marx, Mikhail Bakunin and Leon Trotsky is a pointless discussion, especially in a forum like this one where their words are analized, quoted and linked all the time; and I didn't even mention the fact that nobody cares about the implications this could have in "spreading the word".
5) Left wing football teams (http://www.revleft.com/vb/../../left-wing-football-t71064/index.html)
As we all know, the fact that a large ammount of workers waste a large part of their lives in a sport in which clubs sometimes represent certain classes, political ideas, religious populations and even tactical philosophies is irrelevant, and so is this discussion.
6) Your educational background? (http://www.revleft.com/vb/../../your-educational-background-t68856/index.html)
Who gives a fuck about the education of people who literally want to "change the world", eh?
7) A Chinese Fur Farm (http://www.revleft.com/vb/../../chinese-fur-farm-t71143/index.html)
Who gives a fuck?
8) Most hilarious forum user ever (http://www.revleft.com/vb/../../most-hilarious-forum-t70737/index.html)
Of course, we shouldn't let the wisdom (sic) of such Comrades be shown! Nevermind the risks such idiocy implies to our reputation!
9) Being a Communist in everyday situation(with friends etc..) (http://www.revleft.com/vb/../../being-communist-everyday-t70209/index.html)
Everyday blabber is counter-revolutionary.
10) Korean Anarchist Movement (http://www.revleft.com/vb/../../korean-anarchist-movement-t70563/index.html)
...and so are anarchists, right?
11) Am I the Only Homosexual Commie in the US (http://www.revleft.com/vb/../../am-only-homosexual-t70237/index.html)
Those evil fags tainting our reputation! How dare they talk about their abnormality!
As we can see, it's undeniable that the Shit Chat forum is useless, simply because talking about those idiotic things called penises (a problem almost half of humanity faces, not to mention the problems it brings to the rest and the fact that it is one of the causes revolutionaries exist in first place) is less important than what some oscure feminist theorist argued 100 years ago, or what Communist parties (ie fringe political groups) actually think concerning the correct interpretation of Prophet Vladimir's Wisdom, or what the correct term to refer to a certain oppressed group without offending them is.
(...)
(Please make sure to give me reputation points for this post before leaving. Thanks.)
(small portion with purely CC-relevant info edited out)
Well, let's see this cesspool which we know as chit-chat:
Official revleft quote-train (http://www.revleft.com/vb/../../official-revleft-quote-t74846/index.html) (filthy thread?)
lets make fun of crimethinc (find ridicolous and funny things published by them) (http://www.revleft.com/vb/../../lets-make-fun-t74735/index.html) (I hardly see Led Zeppelin crying over the 'sectarianism' of this thread)
I'm losing my marbles. (http://www.revleft.com/vb/../../im-losing-my-t74091/index.html) (someone genuinely feeling confused about life etc)
Fascists attack mi carro (http://www.revleft.com/vb/../../fascists-attack-mi-t74821/index.html) (political and relevant)
Should violent pornography be banned? (http://www.revleft.com/vb/../../should-violent-pornography-t74734/index.html) (quite an interesting question)
A question to Rosa. (http://www.revleft.com/vb/../../question-rosa-t74656/index.html) (regarding dialectics)
Micheal Moore is quite funny (http://www.revleft.com/vb/../../micheal-moore-quite-t74768/index.html) (again, politically)
Engels Irish Quote, I NEED YOUR HELP! (http://www.revleft.com/vb/../../engels-irish-quote-t74775/index.html) (another political thread)
Which One!? (http://www.revleft.com/vb/../../which-one-t74683/index.html) (someone asking some random question about which country..)
Suicide and you (http://www.revleft.com/vb/../../suicide-and-you-t20029/index.html) (pretty relevant considering most on this board are youth)
Tea or Coffee (http://www.revleft.com/vb/../../tea-coffee-t50275/index.html) (oh so filthy)
Happy birthday Invader Zim! (http://www.revleft.com/vb/../../happy-birthday-invader-t74698/index.html) (the pinnacle of decadence)
College Rejects? (http://www.revleft.com/vb/../../college-rejects-t73738/index.html) (is discussing college filthy, pub-like?)
Feeling lonely and abandoned... (http://www.revleft.com/vb/../../feeling-lonely-and-t74652/index.html) (we shouldn't allow emotions on revlefts!)

It NZ **** becomes more viciouser depending on the context.
For example: 'Lecta Malibu, he's a good ****. I'd like to have a beer with him sometime'.
Or: 'Don't be a ****'.
Or 'That was pretty ****y, what you did'.
Or "Her **** had the aroma of hindu Goddess and as she languidly awaited her man to enter her, she gave a look that said 'be gentle but not too gentle'"
'Fuck you ****s I'm off to get drunk' is a very NZ punk vernacular sentence. It sort of sloppily proclaims the mildly nihilistic mood of the punk in question.

SPACESHIPS OF THE GODS
By

INTRODUCTION
To understand this book one must realize our very existence is tenuous. All life in the universe is tenuous; subjected to various mass extinctions. For this reason we must develop space travel to preserve life and the record of our own evolution.
Every 12,500 years our earth has an ice age. This is a well-documented scientific fact. There are evenly spaced, layers of coal at Bluff Point in Kachemak Bay. A ten-foot-thick, layer of glacier rocks and silt separate each layer. Some of the layers of coal are two to three feet thick. One warm age left a layer over four-feet, thick. 80 distinct layers of coal extending deep underground document a million years of ice ages. All the coal seams were peat bogs and forests at one time because leaves and the wood from the fossilized trees is plainly visible in the coal.
Each time plants and trees laid down a layer of peat it was compressed into coal by advancing ice sheets, which at times were up to 5000 feet thick. As the ice receded it laid down rocks and silt from as far away as the Talkeetna Mountains.
We still don't know the reasons for these severe climatic changes. Scientists speculate that they have something to do with pole shifts brought about by the precession of the earth's poles or possibly the movement of the magnetic pole. Some of the numbers do correspond. A new ice age is due.
Bruce Bullwar, a geologist for the United States Geologic Survey became interested in layers of pink clay signifying the end of the Jurassic Era and the beginning of the Cretaceous. Geologists from all over the world have dated this particular layer of pink clay and found it contained a high content of Iridium and quartz crystals, which identify it as coming from a meteorite impact.
University of Chicago's David Raup, and Jack Septowski compiled a list of all the known plants and animals that had disappeared during the various cataclysmic events in all of earth's recorded history. They found that extinctions occur in regular cycles every 26 million years.
Obviously the earth’s biosphere is not a closed system. Objects that come from outside the solar system every 26 million years affect the history of life on earth. Rich Muller proposes that either a large planet or a companion star to our sun in a very long elliptical orbit enters our solar system every 26 million years disrupting the Ort cloud sending killer meteorites plummeting into the sun. Some of them impact the planets including our earth. Is this what killed Mars? This killer object is due.
Not only is Life on this planet tenuous; subject to cataclysmic extinction’s every few thousand years. It seems that life in other star systems is just as rare and must be nurtured. We must develop the capability to get off the planet and assist life in other biospheres. If cloning is necessary to create a being capable of making long space voyages to carry on our mission so be it. Even genetic alteration of the species to make it more adaptable to live in space may be necessary.

CHAPTER ONE
A NAZI CITY ON MARS
For the life of me I don't know how we believed all that propaganda about how the Communists where a big threat to America. Basically the Communists were a third-world nation and are still having a rough time catching up to the rest of the world. Looking back it all seems like this big scam to get more money out of taxpayers for nuclear weapons. The big problem is both sides made enough bombs to kill all the people in the world ten times over. There has to be another reason why they would make so many nuclear bombs.
The Nazi party never surrendered after the war. The USSR and the US were afraid of a bloody Fourth Reich because Hitler promised the fight would go on from other places if Germany were overrun.
If the last war with Germany was WW II, don't you think by this time the 'Third Reich' would have a contingency plan? What ever happened to the 'First Reich' and the 'Second Reich'?
Admiral Durnet moved the last battalion of over a hundred U-boats to bases in Antarctica at New Swabia (Neuchwabenland) and South America. This was a complete series of U-boats not a random list. Nazi Germany staked Neuchwabenland in 1938 to 1939 prior to the war by dropping javelins decorated with the Nazi flag out of airplanes. The 20,000 square mile territory of Noise Swabbenland, New Swabia, or Neuchwabenland is reported to contain many underground caverns with hot-water springs, open lakes, and an undersea rivers allowing submarine access far inland. Many of the underground caverns were warm and only need the addition of lights to make them hospitable. Given the Aryan preoccupation with underground caverns it is quite logical that they would colonize such a place.
I have a copy of a 1948 list of 261 German flying saucers. There are 84 Vrills of 11.5 meters in diameter and three Haunebu II's 25 meters in diameter and several Hanebu III's of 79 meters diameters. These have speeds of 2900 miles per hour and the capability of traveling to Mars. A Hanebu IV was on the drawing boards. Several Andromeda mother ships were constructed in the old Zeppelin hangers at the same time as the Vrills. These could carrying six Vrills and two Hanebu models into space. The Andromedia mother ships are the long cigar-like shapes objects seen occasionally orbiting Earth and are pictured in a Russian photograph orbiting Mars. They were powered by six Vrill Levitation Power Units.
If the Nazis had 261 flying saucer craft in 1948 they could very well have built thousands of them since then. Even if all of their bases in Germany were bombed out of existence I am sure that some of them survived such as the Marcony plant located inside an extinct ten-thousand-foot, volcano some where in South America. Who knows what underground cities they have by now. They may have even joined forces with the ancient underground peoples still controlling the 'Vimana' and 'Asvin' technology.
Some of the following information is from W.A. Harbinson's book: Genesis and other books on the subject.
From 1946 to 1947 Admiral Richard Evelyn Byrd commenced Operation High Jump with thirteen ships, one aircraft carrier and two seaplane tenders, six two-engine R4D transports, six Martin PBM flying boats, and six helicopters. He also had a staggering total of 4000 men. (Some accounts say 5000 men). This seems to be a bit much for a "scientific and mapping expedition," don't you think?
It was considered odd that when his force reached the Antarctic coast, they docked on January 27,1947 near the German-claimed territory of Neuschwabenland, but then divided up into three separate task forces. Some newspapers reported the expedition was a huge success, revealing more about the Antarctic than had ever been known before. It wouldn't take much knowledge to make that statement because very little was known about Antarctica at the time. Other, mainly foreign reports state this had not been the case. Many of Byrd's men were lost during the first day, and four of his airplanes inexplicably disappeared. The expedition had enough supplies for six to eight months but returned to America February 1947.
Admiral Byrd is quoted by a reporter as saying: "It is necessary for the USA to take defensive actions against enemy air fighters which come from the polar regions," and in the case of a new war the USA would be "attacked by fighters that can fly with incredible speed from one pole to the other without refueling." According to a Brisant reporter, after Byrd's return to the USA he was ordered to undergo a secret cross-examination. The USA withdrew from the Antarctic for almost a decade.
During the war the Germans were sending ships and planes to the Antarctic with equipment for their massive underground bases. At the end of the war the flying saucer pilot team of scientists were taken from Germany to submarine U-530 and U-977. The Americans interrogated the crews of those submarines when they docked in Argentina. Upon hearing about the Antarctic base, the Americans organized a military task force disguised as an exploratory expedition. That expedition turned tail and ran when they encountered the German saucers. The United States pulled out of Antarctica temporarily, in order to build their own saucers based on the designs found in Germany after the war.
Years after the war it was suggested in the socialist-leaning, Brisant the Democratic Republic of Germany should claim back the rights to that part of the Antarctic which the Nazis stole from the Norwegians and arrogantly renamed Neuschwabenland.
The Germans had been patrolling the Antarctic regions of the southern ocean and two large Norwegian whaling ships were seized by boarding parties from the German raider Penguin as they rested at anchor in their own territorial waters off Queen Maud Land. Within hours of the incident, a Norwegian supply ship and most of the nearby whaling convoy had been lured into the German trap and the war in the Antarctic was underway.
In May 1941 the HMS Cornwall located and sunk the Penguin, but not before Penguin had captured a whole string of Allied merchant ships totaling more than 135,000 tons. The Penguin's sister ships the Komet and the Atlantis continued to prowl the Antarctic shores until the end of the war.
Captain Heinz Schaffer of U-977 departed Kiel Harbor in the Baltic Sea April 1945, stopped at Christiansund April 1945 and departed April 26th, 1945 and was not seen again until August 17th 1945 in Mar Del Plata. That voyage took almost four months.
Where did he go? Captain Heinz Schaffer stated they left with the intention of patrolling the South Atlantic. After refueling at Christiansund they heard on their radio several days later that the war was over. Captain Schaffer gave his crew the option of being put ashore in Norway because he was not convinced they would be treated kindly in Germany. The next few days they ran close ashore of the Norwegian coast and on May 10 they dropped of some of their crew not far from Bergen. Then in the longest sea voyage at the time they spent the next sixty-six days under water until surfacing in the south Atlantic. The next few days they ran on the surface, disguised as a merchant steamer with masts and phony sails.
Over their radio they hears that U-530 had gone into Mar Del Plata and their crew had been handed over to the United States as prisoners of war. Although disturbed at hearing this they entered Mar Del Plata August 17, 1945---almost four months after departing Kiel. There were interrogated a few weeks about their whereabouts and if anybody of high rank had ever been aboard.

and my collie dog Lady Pugsley Anastasia (Pugs) born summer 1989, died september 13, 2003, age 14.
I miss them so much and how I loved them !!
I think it was growing up with them as my faithful angels and guardians in a world full of humans who abused me that i came to believe in humans and non humans being equals.
This pic was taken in summer of 1995, Pugs was 6 and Fluffy was 8 at the time.
yea when we got Pugs I was 11 years old and in school i had finished a grade where we had learned about the romanov family so hence the name Anastasia hehehe
plus they look like a prince and princess anyway. Fluffy was the absolute ruler and monarch and everyone human and non human deferred to his will and everyone human and non human was scared to death of him because he was a very aggressive cat.

Zappa doing "Stairway to Heaven". If you listen closely, you will hear all kinds of obnoxious sounds in the back ground, produced by the keyboard.
Now I like Zeppelin, but they are nothing compared to Frank. What Frank would do, while on tour, was play popular covers for the audience....but would add his own last word by making a kind of mockery of the material.
It is true that Frank was very arrogant, but if you look at things from his perspective, you might understand why. During his career, no band on the planet produced anything remotely comparable to what Frank produced. He was by far the superior producer. He preferred to write material for orchestras, but was disillusioned as a rock-star, discovering that that genre of music had no commercial potential. So, naturally he did what he had to do to pay the bills- he wrote rock music. But the supreme irony is this: he would proceed to write the most technically and compositionally complex rock music that ever existed....and during this time make a parody out of out. He was, in a sense, doing what rock bands thought they were doing the best, and then making fun of it, as if it were too simple to take seriously. It was for Frank. He was a diamond in the dirt of the rock-and-roll industry.
That's Ike Willis on vocals, by the way.

Just a little. I mean, he's nothing like Peter and the Test-tube Babies, or what's that other dime-a-dozen punk band....oh yeah, the Butthole Surfers is it? These guys stuck around for a whole few years, five chords, and what, a couple albums? Frank was only around for roughly twenty-three years, and only produced like sixty albums. I've got 58 of them....but I keep the CDs behind the Pearl Jam on the bookshelf, since Pearl Jam is much cooler, and the chicks dig Pearl Jam...so the chicks dig me, which means I can get laid easier. Chicks don't like Frank, because Frank doesn't like chicks who like guys because of the music they listen to, and he wrote many songs to bash those kinds of chicks. I have to keep those a secret, play the Pearl Jam, get the mystery blow-jobs from Bubbles and Suzy Creamcheese, kick them out, then put Frank back on...and rejoice.
I think what got me, NoXion, was when I was playing Bad Moon Rising on the acoustic, and Black Dog on the drums, at seventeen years old....then a buddy of mine puts Apostrophe on and I lose my cookies. I never heard anything like it. I thought "how can people play like that? Are they inhuman? How can a song be that tight?"
From there I was hooked. But listen, just between you and me, one of the reasons why I love Frank is because I can't play his stuff. I mean come on, I can play Camarillo Brillo, but who can't? It's stuff like "The Black Page" that blows my mind:

Journal entry #36:
I've had a cavity developing in a lower molar for over a year now. Finally the decay has reached the nerve. The day before yesterday, the worst pain I have ever felt in my life shot up the side of my face. If felt as if someone had stuck a hot knife in my neck and twisted it. I almost dropped to my knees it was so bad. Yesterday and today the same pain has arrived unexpectedly.
I went by the emergency room in a small town nearby to seek assistance. They have no dentists. My efforts were in vain.
As a guerrilla soldier, I remain in the field without medical provisions. I have decided to drink some moonshine I purchased from a villager, and pull the tooth myself with a pair of pliers from my demolitions kit. I must be hard before myself, and let no inconvenience stop me from reaching my objective.

The morale of my column is becoming increasing lower. My soldiers keep asking why reinforcements are scarce, why there are no reports of progress on the northern and eastern fronts, and why comrades back at base listen to Snoop Doggy Dogg and buy over priced Che Guevara t-shirts. I reassure them that the problem is temporary, and that the Revleft management is working to fix the difficulties. Of course I know this is not true, but I cannot let my men despair. The fate of this war hangs in the balance. We are on our own now.
