Actually, did you know that it is illegal to travel to Cuba. Did you also know that the "ant-colony-thirdworld fuckhole country" is #1 in doctors, teachers, sports instructors, and art instructors per person? Did you know that since the overthrow of the fascist Batista dictatorship, Cuban life expectancy has risen from 55 to 75? Do you know with the free trade movements, most of Latin America is now home as a sweatshop for American corporations? Not Cuba (although they are moving slowly toward a market path). Cuba still has their own social order which is resisting the temptation of global capital.

You’re making gross generalizations here... and assuming quite a bit. If you would to take a stroll through the membership lists you would see that there are people from all over the world here on this board, and I’m sure the majority are not from suburbia.

African Americans aren't the only ones on welfare darling... but... well I believe the problem with any system is the presence of those who wish to abuse it. Welfare is best used for rehabilitation, and not simply support. And I think that's what welfare reforms are all about..

As for African Americans complaining about the white man keeping them down... well that's because in many respects, the white man still is keeping them down. I read a story yesterday about interracial couples not being able to rent, or get mortgages in areas of some states... and that to an extent some states still practice segregation.

Speaking of fuck China I just had to read a book for school called the woman warrior. It's a true story about this girl who's parents grew up in china. They had to start work at 5:00 A.M. and go till 11:00 P.M. 6 days a week to receive a little flour and cooking oil. Her uncle was shot because he saved a little rice from his field to feed his starving family. The soldiers shot him becasue this was against the egalitarian land reform. Evrythign had to be turned over to the communal food store, then you had to work more to get the food that you grew on your own farm while your family is starving.

Capitalism is a "non sustainable" cultural practise from an Socio-Anthropological standpoint and leads to social stratification of the worst kind! Inequalities are created, and social tension takes over, and crime rate goes up. Capitalism is also the root cause of "self centred" behaviour...or at least it is a major contributing factor!

Where do you want me to go, hmm? There is one market. One economy. There is only one system in the world. We communists are trying to have one system replace your one system. Cuba is not the example of the kind of goal we are looking for. World communism is the goal. The goal is for all the workers in the world to unite, not just the workers of another pre-industrial example of flawed communism.

We don't take advantage of capitalism. We are against it. We try our very best to take no part in capitalism or the corporate world. However, the fact that we exist in the corporate world is beyond our control at the moment. The goal is to eliminate the corporate world by gaining control over it.

as i understand it in Laos they used to have no deeds to land because the government owned it (i think this is changing now) and they were required to grow so much of whatever. production was low. and as i understand it before the communist regime in russia fell they gave deeds to land back to the people on agricultural land that was ordered for distribution to the people. production went up once they got their deeds back because they were producing food for money, they made more of it, they actually had a fruitful livelihood. as i understand it of course... free market baby, it works... i guess the us would obviously take advantage of china because they refuse to change their ways. they're poor as hell over there, however, hong kong is making quite the load of money because there is hardly any government intrusion. self government, once again.
