The UN Security Council has voted to impose a third round of sanctions on Iran over its nuclear programme. Will they persuade Tehran?

No. I don't think the Iranian Government really gives a toss about U.N. sanctions.

I hope not. america is freaking everyone in the middleast out we need a little strength im not a fan of ahmedelnajat i hate the fact that he doesn't believe in the holocust but we need a bold guy that doesn't freak america out

Damn right. And about the Holocaust - yes, I hate that he believes that. But it's really more a political reaction. Iran, like Iraq and many other Middle Eastern countries, is a victim of US and Israeli imperialism. We cannot necessarily blame him for being reactionary any more than we can blame Hamas or Hezbollah. Also in reality he never said Israel should be "wiped off the map," but rahter that it "should not exist." Which I completely agree with, by the way. So I suppose he was saying that since Israel has no right to exist, and the Holocaust has been used to justify Israel, that by proxy the Holocaust must be an imperialist excuse and simply a myth.
