I Will Deny You

Lots of the capitalists on this board associate communism with dictatorships, no freedom, one-party systems and loads of other stuff.
But let's look at the facts, shall we? There are capitalist dictatorships and democracies, just as there have been communist dictatorships and democracies. (I'm using the terms "capitalist" and "communist" loosely here--we all know that the USSR wasn't communist and Afghanistan wasn't capitalist, but you know what I mean, so don't be a perfectionist asshole and yell at me for making generalizations.)
Only an idiot would deny these two things: During the Cold War, the United States overthrew every communist government it could, and democracy is a weaker form of government. Of course, the United States couldn't quash every communist revolution, so isn't it only natural that they would be more successful in crushing the peaceful, democratically elected governments? This is why Cuba is still communist but Guatemala is not, why Vietnam is still communist but Chile is not.
So enough with this "there's no such thing as a communist democracy" bullshit. There's no such thing as a communist democracy because the United States repeatedly ignored the wishes of South American people and because they would rather see a capitalist with no respect for human rights (such as Pinochet) in power, instead of a communist who is loved by the prolateriat (such as Allende) in power.
Three cheers for democracy! Three cheers for the will of the people! Five cheers for human rights! No cheers for the USA.
