OMG I am loving seeing INS on the chopping block again.
For those of you who missed it, on March 11, precisely 6 months after 9/11, the INS mailed new student visa papers to the Mohammed Atta and another 9/11 terrorist at the flight school in Florida where they were learning how to fly.
Anyone who's tried to get anything out of INS will love how much trouble they are in now.
INS must be shut down, every employee fired and every contract terminated. There is no excuse for the total incompetence of this agency.

Yeah I remember the how the INS confiscated Elian Gonzales and sent him back to Fidel Castro and Communist Cuba.
The INS and most Americans did not seem to care that Elian's mother drowned herself and nearly drowned her son trying reach the USA.
Elian's dad knew full well ahead of time that Elian was coming to the USA - he did not seem to care until Fidel Castro made it a point that he care.
Elian's father could have cared less about returning Elian to Cuba.
Fidel Castro totally duped the INS and the Clinton-Reno administration into extraditing Elian back to Cuba so he could be brainwashed a raised like every other Cuban Communist/Nazi boy.
I'm with you on this issue "Supermodel"
Fuck the INS!

LOL Capitalist!! I don't think the Elian Gonzalez case was INS' finest moment, but I do believe that the biological parent's rights are paramount, second only to the safety of the child. I was very happy to see Elian back with his dad.

eh...i was in the US during that Elian crap.
What a load of bullshit. The one that blew it up was the US Media....sickening. They were the ones sticking sugar up that boys butt to make him think he found the golden country. Let him live in disney land for dog knows how long.
Who cares about international law?
I was glad that he returned just so that he could grow up a bit more normally without all the sick attention the US media gave him. Frightening.

I believe children are better off with people that love them - not necessarily their biological parents.
Elian's father did not seem to care when Elian's mother risked her life to come to the USA. He knew - before their departure that he would probably never see his son again.
Furthermore, Elian's father received a call from the relatives in Miami (prior to Fidel Castro's involvement). Elian's father wished his son and Miami relatives good luck. He did not protest. He was happy for is son. Only after Fidel got involved - did the father begin to protest.
Children belong in families that promote future opportunities and love.
Not in Fidel Castro Education Camps. Which is where Elian will surely end up.

if you think that children should stay with people who love them how can you advocate leaving him with his familiy in Miami?
Those people totally abused this kid for their cause, they let all media lose on him and made him the center of attention for all of the USA and Cuba. Loving people they are. Using children like that is sickening.

I was packing papers for my highly exploitative paperround (which payed about 25% of the minimun wage!!!!) the day after he was taken from his family in Miami and there was a picture on every paper with the caption "Give us the child, or I shoot." Yeah it just so happened that these newspaper reporters were in the house at the time some guy came in with an assault rifle.
Children always seem to get abused by the media. My dad knows some people who had a child born really prematurely during the Faulklands war who weighed less than a bag of sugar and only has 10% vision in 1 eye (he's now a 6'5 rugby player who when he was 16 was playing against over 18s.) And the father was in the Faulklands as a marine and when the media got onto this story they were trying to publish pictures and stories like "Baby beats dad home from Faulklands."

Elian Gonzalez was not for the INS or the American people to decide. His mother kidnaped him and his father a blood parent wanted him back in Cuba with the people who love him choose to reside....

can u prove this.. considering the amount of bullshit that comes out of miami (lets round down... 98%)..
i love how you say communist/nazi.. as if they go hand in hand.. for now on, i will adress united states as U$/Nazi.. considering they were both right wing and had much more in comman than nazis and communist..
the kid belongs with his biological father, i dont care where it was, doesnt matter what country.. the father is the father.. and until you can find a TRUTHFUL source of his father not caring.. i will stand my ground..
