Quite good I have to admit, however I think he should have gone into the "democracy" discussion on the point that "democracy" is quite subjective. When the US administration and media talks about "democracy" they are meaning the "free market" which is quite undemocratic

I always love Galloway on these media trips. He always kicks ass and takes control of the situation and gets the media out there. One thing I would to see brought up in the media is a question I was thinking about earlier: why is it that every country in the world but the U.S. allows trade and tourism to Cuba? Why is it only the United States trying to get rid of Castro for the last forty-nine years? Why were we friendly with him in 1959 and then found out he was a communist and was mean? It's simple and that is imperialism.

It goes back to the super power line of thinking that if you don't do things OUR way than it's evil and oppressive etc. Just because Cuba has a different way of doing elections (and that goes for anywhere in the world) doesn't mean it's wrong. It just means it's their way. Every country has to figure out their own way of doing things. That's one of my pet peeves.
Quite good I have to admit, however I think he should have gone into the "democracy" discussion on the point that "democracy" is quite subjective. When the US administration and media talks about "democracy" they are meaning the "free market" which is quite undemocratic

I'm not Galloways biggest fan but he made some good points. however in my opinion he shouldn't have attacked the report as much as he did. by making those Ad Hominem remarks towards what was definitely not the most biased coverage of the story made him lose points

Thanks for that; I saw the original, and, even though I am no admirer of Castro, I sent this e-mail to Channel Four:
I look forward to the day when Channel Four interviewers are as aggressive with US and UK politicians, who still excuse the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Muslims, as Krishnan was with George Galloway (and are as persistent in their endeavour to find out from them why Saudi Arabia isn't a democracy, or why Kuwait isn't one either, 17 years after being 'liberated').
What's that?
It ain't going to happen?
Now, why does that not surprise me...?
Well then, lay off George; at least try to be even-handed if you absolutely have to be sycophantically gentle with US war criminals.

I do not think we have seen the likes of him on the left since the 60s, when a few brass necked militants stuck it to the House Unamerican Activities Committee.
When asked the usual 'Are you now, or have you ever been a communist', one guy shouted back 'You bet your sweet ass I am!'
