Metallica. Sit down and listen to the first 4 Metallica albums, from 'Hit the Lights' to 'Dyers eve'. Upbeat, heavy, raw pure thrash metal with no bad songs or riffs. As much as people hate to admit it (mainly stemming from the Napster shit) Metallica (pre-black) are the quintessential thrash metal band.

P.S. I also love Megadeth.

Actually when I saw Metallica last year they were awesome, and had gone back to their thrash roots. They did quite a few songs of Kill Em All, which started some insane pits :thumbup:

That being said, I really don't like straight up thrash, but I absolutely love thrash influences on At the Gates, Marduk, and grindcore.
