judging by what has gone before, one of the first things a new workers state will do is reintroduce the death penalty for murder, child abuse and rape.
in fact, it would seem, the working class, given power, dismiss all "liberal thinking " out of hand, they put punishment before rehabilitation, understanding that rehabilitation can only come after the offender has been made to realise his crime.

The only reason that I would disagree (specifically regarding the death penalty) is due to the over-representation of the working class on death row. Then there is the recent surge in exonerations of convicted murders already on death row. The working class is painfully aware of the number of their sons, brothers and husbands on death row, and the fact that some truly do not belong there. I really believe that the death penalty is once again heading out of favor in the USA, and among all classes; just as it did 35 years ago. Same thing with the absurd "war on drugs." Too many folks have lost life-long jobs due to a pot bust or something equally stupid. While the far right has strong representation among this working class, I believe that they have worn out their welcome, particularly over the past 7 years. The 2 to 1 advantage that the Dems have had in voter turn-out during the primaries (even before the Republican race was largely decided..) indicates as much.
