The Columbian government run by President Pastrana is making it's move. They have set their sights on re-taking the land they gave by concession to the FARC a few years ago, blaming the communists of not being able to keep thier word and accusing them as promoters of terrorism. The U.S. government is just waiting to get a peice of the action, all it needs is for one stone to stike one of it's citizens. Bush has yet another chance to revive his already redundant and obsessive attack on the "evildoers". Aerial attacks rain death upon guerrillas and civilians alike. It seems they too have adopted U.S. tacticts. Corruption abounds on both sides. Will the FARC, 17, 000 men and women strong, be able to withstand the attack? And if they were able to, could they tip the balance of power and end the decades of bloodshed? Corruption? Or will another power-hungry megalomaniac install Stalinism. Only time will tell, but will guerrilla-fought war ever bring true socialism?

THE U.S will use the "terrorism" thing to rid the world of all that opposes it & democracy, that's why osama bin laden will never be found & that's why he's "still alive".

FARC should keep the cause going cuz america will just keep getting more arrogant.

The colombian government is not very strong, mainly because it is a corrupt government. If Colombia wasn't getting help with $ and arms from the U.$[who has nothing to do with the problem (they are just sticking their noses in an the problem for the profit they will get out of it)] i am sure the guerrilla would win and have victory. As you all should know the U.$ is a two faced country full of greed, (and is the most highest example of exploiter) and everything they do will result in them getting profit. So the main reason they are helping the Col. government is because they will probably get land or reasources.

i have always agreed with the cause of FARC and other guerrillas in colombia. They are my hope in the changing of my country's government.
