Hey I'm new to the forum. I'm 16 so I'm just starting to learn about anarchism and create my own views on the world. My main interest is the history of unions and how they help in revolutions and how they could benefit in a anarchro-syndicalist society. My main reason for coming to this site is to learn and hear other peoples opinions. I have a open mind and try and get both sides of every story before making an opinion. I have read a few Chomsky books but right now my 2 favorite books are 1984 and Animal Farm by George Orwell.

Have you read anything about the Spanish Civil War?

You'd probably find it interesting, being that you're interested in syndicalism.

No I haven't really started learning about left history yet other then what they teach me about the Russian revolution in history class (which seems to be very bias). I'm trying to learn the beliefs and theorys behind left thought then I'm going to start getting into the history. But I'll remember to pick up a book about it. Any book in particular I should look at?

Left theory books? How about these?

Communist Manifesto by Marx
Anarchism:From theory to practice (usually it's just titled "anarchism") from Daniel Guerin
If you want to know more of anarcho-syndicalism read:
Anarcho-Syndicalism Theory and Practice by Rudolf Rocker

Yes welcome, and yeah is a good thing that you don't believe all that capitalist propaganda that wants to discredit anything that goes against it.

Welcome. I like that you're willing to come to decisions logically, and are unfazed about bourgy myths.

What are you trying to learn about in particular, BTW

Right know I'm reading anything I can get my hands on. The only book store we have here is a second hand one so I look in there to see what they have that might interest me. I order off AK press every now and then. So far I'm mostly interested in Syndicalism.

anyway you said you were Anarchist, as am I but I'm not as well read as you lol No, I live in Canada And the worst thing about it is on tests they only want you to spit back the facts so when I give my own opinion I end up failing.
