I saw on the TV today that the BNP website is the most popular political party website in the UK, they receive the most hits every month than another party's site.
This troubled me quite a bit, what can be done?

Whilst they might get a lot of hits, it doesn't necessarily mean that all those visitors support the BNP.

ah yea I understand that the majority of hits are probably just out of curiosity, but those curious of the BNP might then start believing there bullshit.

Remember curiosity killed the cat ;) lol

We need to build a revolutionary federation of the working class. Now go out and be active.

Wat Wat said

the I've been on the BNP site, it is one of the worst designed sites EVER it's so fuggin hard to navigate! anyway when I finally got to the Ideology section I found it to have been quite vague

i think alot of people who are against the BNP go on it to find out what shit theyre spreading really. Ive been on there a few times to help me come up of ways of combating any ideas these fascists may give to me in a debate. I just think its useful to know what they say.

It's probably a lot to do with how clandestine and secretive/vague the BNP comes across as, which leads more people to want to investigate, wheras other parties generally state their policies outright (mostly because they don't involve bigoted bullshit and therfore won't be slated) on television/newspapers/whatever, leaving no real need to delve further for the average voter.

His use of it doesn't necessarily means support for it, IMO.

I go to Alex Jones website and Stormfront all the time to see whats up, as well as several "right" news sites almost as much as I come here.

Speaking of which, I don't think I've ever been to the BNP website....I'm sure it's full of semi-racist imagery, such as the "perfect" white families frolicking in the sunshine far from the reach of evil immigrants.

IMO che wouldnt have been seen dead near the union jack. So your avatar is a bit of an insult to him.

It is second only to the stars n' stripes in the evilness stakes.

Yeah, the Union Jack symbolises imperialism and a right wing ideology. Every time I look at it I think of the bloody BNP or National Front. If we're talking about history it pushes the stars n stripes all the way.

This was originally true but now it's universally known as the Union Jack. I've only ever heard the term Union Flag used in military terms.

Yes that Union Jack is "evil", that flag killed my mother.

Not surprising, given that the right-wing reactionary press' scare stories and racist bullshit about immigrants have been a boon to the BNP. The BBC have been doing it too in their "white working class season of programming".

Why shouldn't it? It has all the appeal of a horror-comedy, which is perhaps the hippest genre out there.

Then again, I'd hope those who view the site are able to realize that they do present an actual threat.
