I am surprised that nobody has mentioned this topic before. After blowing to bits an already poverty stricken country, America has decided to wield it's power and influence and it's greed and disrespect for soverign nations by creating a puppet government in Afghanistan. If America is so keen on elections and democracy why did it not allow the people of Afghanistan to choose their leaders? This reminds me of the intervention in Vietnam when America created a detested puppet governmet in the South to oppose the popular communist party in the north. America's role in the war on terrorism is a smoke screen to quash opposition and utilise their arsenal of weapons, obtained through funds and money stained with the blood of poor men, women and children, to further extend and consolidate their hegemony around the world.
