Hello, everyone. Here is a little about myself for anyone who is interested.
I am a twenty-eight year old man in North Carolina in the USA.
I was taught to believe in capitalism and the right, but I have always had a tendency to question assumptions, and I have always had a fondness for the real leftists. As a young adult, I was drawn to learning more about activism, and I started seeing how fucked up things are. For the right, life is all about power and exploitation. I could no longer have any faith in the sick bullshit.
What alternative do I have? The democrats are hardly any different from the republicans, so I must consider Socialism, Communism, and any other real alternative to the current system. I want what is best for the American people and humanity as a whole, but I am considered unamerican because I do not accept the twisted inhuman ideologies that are destroying them.
I found this website a year or two ago via a web search, and I have lurked here occasionally to read posts, but I am usually not much of a forum person. I think it is good that left-leaners from around the world have this forum to discuss issues that matter.
I have been feeling more leftist lately, and when I read the thread regarding pedophilia, I wanted to offer my perspective, so I finally joined. I usually do not waste my time to enter online discussions on this issue, but I believe leftists are more capable of rational thought in controversial subjects than most people.
I look forward to continuing to read posts here, learning more about the lefties of the world and their views in many matters, and sometimes offering my own thoughts and experiences to the community.
