I wish I did...although I heard of some activists and places like the Black Mangrove Collective (although that's more like an ABC No Rio.).

I heard of the SDS but in Central Florida.

I suppose here things are more "decentralized." :p

There are groups active there, but a lot of things are less visable than they may otherwise be because of the constant threat of the rightist gusano terrorists.

i like the Black Mangroves, they seem like something id want to be part of. even though its not directly leftist.

The SPUSA is fairly well organized in Florida. If you want, I can forward you to the head of their Florida branch.

Florida actually (considering the conservative nature of the state) has a decent amount of leftist organizations.

As mentioned before it has SDS chapters (in UCF, UF and FSU at least).

The Socialist Party of Florida is fairly active and I've been in contact with them before.

The PSL as mentioned before has a branch in Miami

and ANSWER coalition is active in Florida (although I'm not sure where, I believe that at least have a small group in Tallahassee but I'm not sure where else).

As for South West FL, I'm not sure of anything other than perhaps Coalition of Immokalee workers is active there (as Immokalee is in Collier County).

I'm not sure if any universities in SWFL have SDS chapters or what other leftist organizations are active there, but I know that the east coast has some active organizations.

I live in a suburb of Miami, mostly with the Venezuelans who hate Chavez and other South Americans who are distrustful of leftists by the look of things (although they don't know what an anarchist is per se; so I might get lucky. Also there are some 2nd gen people who are easier to influence; yet these are also likely, some, to be openly aligned to conservatism.).

I've actually passed by Naples...

Well the Party for Socialism and Liberation has a chapter in Miami, perhaps you could work with them. ( http://www.pslweb.org )

I actually went to high school in Naples. I'm unaware of the state of leftist groups there however. My guess is that it isn't too good.

I want to work with anarcho-communists or left communists... (They seem to be "only socialists", I'm for communism! Even leninists would have been better to work with, at least we have the same goal.)

If only SDS (although not anarchist per se; it has it's "participatory democracy" system.) had a branch here in Miami.

Well SDS is more of a broad left organization that includes all kinds of anti-capitalist left factions (which is good in my opinion since the left is way to factionalized anyway)

I know that FIU has an SDS chapter though http://newsds.org/wiki/index.php?title=List_of_SDS_chapters#Southeast_Reg ion

Also, The Party for Socialism and Liberation is a Marxist organization, they overtly support the Cuban and Venezuelan governments.

I'm not the head of the Socialist Party of Florida. We have an executive committee. I am one of four comrades currently in the committee.

What's down here? There are five organized socialist groups, the Socialist Party, the Socialist Workers Party, the Party of Socialism and Liberation, the Bolivarian Youth, and the Communist Party, though I'm stretching the definition of socialist with them. There are also members or sympathizers with Solidarity, The Revolution Communist Party, ISO, and Socialist Action . . . that I know of.

There are also revolutionaries connected to third world organizations, such as Batay Ouvriye, a Haitian revolution workers group, etc.

If you're in Fort Lauderdale, the Broward Anti War Coalition meets on Thursday nights. 1730 N. Andrews at 7:30. Two of us SP/Solidarity folks will be there. The meetings are small cuz the antiwar movement is collapsing, but we're trying to hold the fort.

IM me and we can talk.

yo! SDS in Florida, as others have mentioned, is super active. Check those cats out. I know the UCF kids a bit, they're super active, although their anti-organizationalist bent can get a bit aggravating. Anyhow, yeah, SDS, that's some solid cats.
