from Newfoundland, Canada.
I am a Leftist, have been for a long time now.
I am new to this forum and would like to say hello to everyone.
I hope you all are well, and I hope there is room for a female Bukharinite here.
I am glad to be here, I have not found a Leftist forum to join. I have only been involved with Leftist groups and students and professors at my university.
I would like to say thank you to the head admin (I have forgotten the name but it begins with M) for the nice automated message I received welcoming me to the site. Its automated but it is nice to be welcomed and acknowledged.

Yes, named after. ;)
What attracted you to leftist politics?
What do you study?
How did you find this site?
Just interested. :)

I knew it. You know about Yuli Martov. I guessed you were named after him. It is so nice to meet people who know the figures of Russian revolutionary history.
what attracted me to leftist politics? First of all I had bad things happen to me when I was a child that separated me from society and i began to resent the way society was. The I had a big break when my friend died of cancer. The thing was, his parents could have saved his life but they chose their religion - Jehovah Witness - over the life of their son. That was the beginning of my hatred for religion. Next when I was 14 I started learning about Russian history and have been studying it ever since. When I went to university I met leftist profs and students and societies. I got involved because I hate society the way that it is today. I am very sensitive to the needs of people (and animals too) and feel a strong need to desire to protect them.
I am doing a Bachelor of Arts in university and this year I will graduate. Im doing a major in Russian language and literature and a minor in history. I am thinking I will become a university prof and teach Russian/Soviet history.
I found this site by going into google and typing in "communist forum"
TThe fact that you are leftists here has made me feel I have found my family, my brothers and sisters in the cause (regardless of how you feel about Nikolai Ivanovich Bukharin)

The anarchist does have a point though. I had a friend who was quite the anarchist and I also read biographies on Mikhail Bakunin. Anarchists do have a point when they say that government is bad, because even if you have a democratic system that goes by majority rules, that still means somebody's toes are still going to get stepped on. Even a minority. And what happens when the majority overrules the minority but it happens that the minority are the ones who happens to be right on some issue.
And thank you for the nice welcome. :)
Thank you for the nice compliment, Spartan.

You're a welcome addition to this board. Much is needed in the studying of the works of a grossly underrated revolutionary Marxist, despite his Right-deviations later on. :(

Thank you for your kind words. I responded to your email.
It seems I am the only one here who supported and approved of what u call the 'right deviation' It was the way for the Party to go. That had already been proven by 1926 when Russia was recovering from war and war communism. It was no accident that the 1920's were called the "golden age."
If only the party had listened to Bukharchik! "little bukharin":crying:

I just love this forum.....it is such a breath of fresh air..... you just want to close eyes and say ahhh:closedeyes:
I hope to add a little fresh air of my own to the forum, because it seems I am the only Bukharinite here:)
the rest appear to be anarchists, Trots, leninists, Stalinists, Technocrats, Maoists etc. Very good members all of them from what I've seen, who contribute much thought to the fourms (although Stalin/maoists have done more to destroy rather than build imho but what is a leftist discussion without them?)
but you have no Bukharinites.....

I'm glad you've decided to join us.

Well, on this particular board the Maoists are awesome, couldn't have some of our better debates without them. There's some Hoxhaists and Stalinists we could definitely do without, though... on that note, a warning: if you ever come into contact with someone called kromando33, be careful as he bites, and I think his bite contaminates you with an extremely humourless disposition; kromando33 hates puppies, you see. Infaam & Abject and RavenBlade are cool, though, and are great posters. Some more warnings about the RL community:
Well, we have a Jazzratt. And he fucking bites. Check it:
I don't want to get drawn into this vacuous debate because, quite frankly, your posts are so innocent of the taint of knowledge, their purity unsullied by the taint of intellect that they burn deep into my dark communist soul. I would like to ask that when you've stopped whatever bizarre masturbatory ritual it is that gets you frothed up into the mindless trance in which you make your posts that you reply to the meat of luxemburg89's statements, not the throwaway insults that he or I have posted, you blistered and thrush riddled ****.
Your post was a fucking embarassment, if I were in your position the comforting embrace of an early death would be sorely fucking tempting and I'd be lamenting the fact that my mother had chosen to give birth to me rather than abort me brutally with a boathook.
Yeah. The whole Anarchist-Transhumanist crowd is pretty much like that
but you have no Bukharinites.....
I've only recently heard the man existed. What ideological standpoint do you consider him? Anarchist? Marxist? Leninist? Maoist? etc.

Before svetlana responds, I will say once more that, in spite of his specific excess regarding the kulaks, he was a "revolutionary Marxist" (TM :D ).

Those quotes by kromando and Jazzrat
I read that and I was like wtf? is he speaking english?
Bukharin was a Revolutionary Marxist as Jacob pointed out.
I think its just sad that you have only just heard he existed. I think it is a darn shame he isnt more well known (that is why I launched my website about Bukharin though it is not finished yet)
also those comments about Bukharin going overboard with the kulaks they just drive me crazy lol
Bukharin was doing the right thing, the peasants should be allowed to "Enrich themselves" and as I wrote before if there were any Kulaks they only made up something like 1 odd percent of the population. There werent many kulaks anyway and the class struggle simply did not exist in the countryside as it did in the city (despite what Leninists say). To keep enrichment from the peasants and not allowing them to improve their lives (which is what Bukharin meant when he said that) well that was just wrong.
I always say, what kulaks?
"kromando hates puppies" Rofl. There are so many things about this forum that just make me laugh.
Like the arguments between Trots and Stalinists. As jacob rightly pointed out I take no part in those.....I just sit watch and have a lol
I will apply to the Revolutionary Marxists forum if and when I can.

I'll be sure to look into all of it, especially your own website, once you're finished setting it up.

Allow me to clarify, as it seems I have utterly confused you.
Jazzratt and Kromando33 are two different people, and just so happen to polar opposites in most ways. I had spoken about Kromando33 up until this point in my post:
on that note, a warning: if you ever come into contact with someone called kromando33, be careful as he bites, and I think his bite contaminates you with an extremely humourless disposition; kromando33 hates puppies, you see.
I speak of him no more. I move on to Jazzratt here:
Well, we have a Jazzratt. And he fucking bites. Check it:
and end at
Yeah. The whole Anarchist-Transhumanist crowd is pretty much like that
Therefore, the two quotes provided were both spoken by the account Jazzratt. Kromando is just an asshole we've all had conflict with. On a popularity scale, I'll just say Jazzratt is a Moderator and Kromando was restricted to Opposing Ideologies. Oh well. We're a cool bunch around here.

You wont have any trouble with me. I am a good person and a decent forum member who is equally comfortable making friends with Rightists and leftists. I am liked even by opponents .
