In my thread in the Lounge (where I'm assuming you're no longer welcome, which is why I'm posting this here) you wrote:

So you believe that Fidel Castro is not the kind of leader that Che Guevara would support.

Please Explain - I agree with that notion and have met some Cubans that fought for Che Guevara and still to this day respect Che Guevara, yet they do not like Castro.
Well first of all, Guevara left my uncle alone even during his Stalinist phase, while Castro tried to kill him. Second of all, Guevara had his own beliefs, and it seems to me that he was a lot smarter than Fidel. Castro was never much of a Marxist (or anything-ist, for that matter) and even his reasons for overthrowing Batista have been questioned. Guevara, meanwhile, kept his "Dictionary of Philosophy" when he was young, finished medical school very early and passed up high-paying jobs to help people in need, and supported Arbenz. He definitely wanted Batista thrown out because he cared about the people who were being fucked over.

I admire Benjamin Franklin, but not America. It's the same kind of thing. Without Che, Fidel is clueless.

There is no doubt in my mind that Che Guevara strongly believed in the communistic movement and that his ultimate goal was to do good for the Cuban People. He killed many innocent Cubans - Cubans considered enemy, but may have simply been entrepreneurs, business owners, or non-supportive of the new socialistic revolution.

He was a fanatic.

There is also no doubt in my mind that Adolf Hitler strongly believed in the fascist movement and that his ultimate goal was to do good for German People. He killed many innocent Germans - Germans considered enemy, but may have simply been Jews, Communists, or non-supportive of new fascist government.

It is time to realize what this undemocratic revolution/movement truly represents.

Capitalist, your copy-and-pasting skills are commendable, but I'm afraid your comparison is flawed.

When Castro took over Cuba, there was a huge amount of capitalists. However, if you have read any of Guevara's work you will no douht have noticed that he tried to change people's minds and make them more compassionate, productive, and self-fulfilled. Some people say he is responsible for 50 executions and others put the number at 500, but there is no question that he didn't kill every time he had the chance. His ultimate goal was to do good for all people.

Hitler's ultimate goal was not to do good for all people, or for German people--it was to do good for Aryan people. Comparing the two doesn't work because while Che tried to change people, Hitler went around executing anyone who was suspected of having a single Jewish ancestor. This is racism, not idealism. Che, meanwhile, pretty nice to the Jews, especially considering the fact that he didn't exactly grow up in Scarsdale. He wasn't a racist, and the only group he treated poorly--Capitalists--was a group that he tried to change through education, not destroy through genocide.

Also, considering the fact that Hitler was an Austrian using German nationalism for the sake of his job security and a brunette using Aryan pride to help his public image, it can definitely be argued (as it has been in the past) that he didn't care about anyone except for himself, and anything except for power. Che obviously cared about others, for if he didn't he would not have been spending time in Leper colonies or fighting to free a nation that he had never lived in. And he obviously cared about more than power, because he resigned for the opportunity to bring communism to every corner of the globe.
