Were the Romantics primitive socialists?

I think it's fair to say that the Romantics were more radical than anything else in their age, and Marx himself was enthusiastic about Shelley.
I'm just wondering what made these people so selfless.

Let's discuss Romanticism...
The Lyrical ballads is really boring, and Wordsworth was clearly not a threat to the status quo given as he became laureate.
Shelley is lush. Love him.
Keats is ok.
