This is an old article but still worth the read.

One thing i cant understand about Marxist-Leninists is that they claim to be the "true successors" of Lenins unique branch of Marxism (Hence the term "Marxism-Leninism"), but how can they say this when Lenin himself saw Stalin as a threat and wanted him removed from any influential positions in the party?

And as this article shows, in his last months, Lenin even went as far as to form a bloc with Trotsky, amongst many others, to thwart Stalins attempt at grabbing power for himself.

I must say that this is one of the best articles denouncing Stalinism that i have ever had the pleasure of reading.

If you want any more evidence for Stalins Bureaucratic Dictatorship, then look no further then his execution of most of the old Bolsheviks, most of whom just happened to be apart of the anti-Stalin bloc that Lenin and Trotsky set up to stop Stalin getting so much power.

^^^ Keep in mind, however, that before that Lenin tried to sideline Trotsky, especially in light of the trade unions debate. Trotsky was raising a question that the Party could ill-afford to have too much of a debate on. Lenin would have meetings with fellow "Platform of the Ten" comrades - including Stalin - before CC and CC Politburo meetings.

If people want to learn about the real relationship between Lenin and Trotsky, they should read the work at http://www.marxist.com/lenin-trotsky-stalinism-johnstone-41.htm

It has a wealth of primary sources, and as a comrade once noted, this book should be required reading for anyone thinking of becoming a Stalinist, as it does well to tear down the age old lies about Lenin and Trotsky (who were really on the same side in the end.).

Trotskyism itself is a continuation of Leninism, making valuable theoretical contrubtions in addition to carrying out Lenin's fight against bureaucracy. The aforementioned work really establishes this fact.

Lenin tried to sideline Trotsky, .

notice how it is not, tried to assasinate, or purge him,
policical debate and democratic party functioning are very good,

Trotsky was allowed to disagree with Lenin and survive, whereas when Stalin came to power when people disagreed, massacres!
