The proposed common politics:

Common politics
The fundamental politics for participation in the federation would be that members:
Seek the abolition of capitalism and class society in all its forms.
Support an organisational philosophy based on decentralisation, mutual aid and autonomy, and reject domination and hierarchical/authoritarian organising.
Oppose all forms of oppression and power over others and recognise that these rarely play out in isolation but are strongly interwoven and connected.
Believe that an anarchist society is desirable, necessary and possible. Revolutionary change isn’t going to come from leaders, experts or professional activists but can only come from below: from the collective self-organisation of ‘ordinary’ people.

Actually, Melbourne university is forcing me to study in Wangaratta before Easter, so I won't be in town anyway. :(

I am absolutely dreading it. Six weeks in February/March in a shitty little fly-infested town with (mostly) people I have nothing in common with, with no wireless internet. Yuck.

Plus I want to go see the STC production of A Midsummer Night's Dream on the Easter weekend. :P

Meh, it is fine if you meet some folks at a thing like this, and mention that you are on RevLeft...

There has been more then one RevLeft meet up.

I think that the person wants to put faces in real life, to RevLeft screen names. Sorta how you and Cntheharra, MGM, ML and some of the other folks all know each other. (I've only meet two of them :(.)

Well, I met Cthenthar coincidently (he actually told me about Revleft after we'd talked before). BGM, I don't remember how I met but it wasn't on Revleft.
And I don't know ML!!!

But I think one should be weary of posting pictures on the forum outisde the CC.

I'd be happy to meet any revo crew at the convergence, though.

It was kind of alarm.
There's a couple of cats in Adelaide who were organizing an alarm collective. Don't know if it went down.
The one in Sydney, however, was originally organized by alarm, but others are now involved.
