View Full Version : RevLeft Members Map

I made the following map by looking at the places where 354 of our members say they are from. These include all admins and moderators and most of the regulars. If you are from a country that hasn't yet got a member on the map, just reply and I'll edit it.
edit - Map unavailable for now but it'll be back soon.

Good job comrade, did you do this all manually or is there a program which sets the colours by input percentages?
Only thing I'd change would just be convert the 50-100 members to "% of members surveyed" otherwise it seems quite minimalising in terms of the board.

I just used a blank world map I got off Wikipedia and manually coloured in the countries.
I've changed that to a %.

It depends on where you live. The North is Turkish, the South is has become part of the EU.

Isn't that part of Turkey?
Its mainly populated by Greeks and almost became part of Greece at one point. The north is controlled by Turkish Cypriots, and is only recognised as a country by Turkey.

It's amazing what that country gets away with.

unfortunate cyprus has split in two after actions from fascists eokab and then the turkish troops invade and took half of cyprus!cyprus is one country and is not either turkish or greek it belongs to its citizens turkish and greek cypriots!
we get really good with our turkish comrades (we have nothing to share and fight for) but fascists from both sides had reach the countrie to this phase!
thats a litle thing about cyprus!;)

I just looked through the lists of admins/mods, at the language subforums (which is why there are so many Serbians) and at the members with the highest postcount, as well as in Introductions. The map is just a blank one I got off Wikipedia.

Done.
I've updated the number of members by looking at most of the members who are in the first 20 pages of the members list when it is sorted out by post count going from the highest to the lowest.

Its mainly just the first 20 pages of emmbers that you get when you put them in order of post count going from the biggest, so its only a small portion of the actual membership of the forum.

I'm sure it has way more; but the people on this map are the most active... 352 is just a small proportion of the board members, and isn't even representative of active members of which it shows about 1/3, just the hardcore.
Maybe we should start pandering ourselves to Die Linke :P
