I was wondering is there a army worth fighting for that excepts foreigners because my only career options are the australian defence force and the foreign legion.

Australian Defence Force is nuts man, its just like a Scout's camp gone awry, I'm in Sydney by the way and a few of my friends have brothers in the army who are the weirdest people ever, my theory is they break you mentally and then they mould you into a freak type of person!

???

How would you get a ridiculous idea like that? You mean you can't think of any way to make a living besides becoming a professional killer?

Think about it some more!

He could go overseas and join a revolutionary army.

But yes, I suggest that you think it over some more, Comrade Brin. There are plenty of ways to earn a living.

I don't know enough about Australia to make reasonable suggestions (come on, mates, speak up here)...but I know that you really don't want to take the path that you're considering now.

Desperate acts almost always result in castastrophe. You have to convince yourself that no matter what you are not going to betray your own humanity by signing on as a professional killer with an imperialist army.

If begging in the streets is the only alternative, then that's what you have to do. I don't really think it will come to that, but you have to decide ahead of time that you are not going to put your life on the line for imperialism...nor are you prepared to kill anyone in defense of imperial conquest.

The capitalist class depends on people like you...people who will do anything for money because they are poor and desperate. Don't be one of their suckers.

If the part of Australia where you live is impossible, then go elsewhere...it's a big country.

But don't even think of joining the army.

If you want to go to Cuba, the first step, I suppose, would be to visit their embassy in Canberra and speak with them...but that seems like a long-shot to me.

Why destroy when you could heal? Become a medic/doctor instead of a soldier...

to become a soldier is just plain nuts. if you really want to be a soldier go check if the zapatists are recruiting foreigners...

I understand your points red star,I realy don't want to become a capitalist tool especially during this so called war on ''terror''.I will research more options

Onepunchmachinegun in don't think i'm smart enough to get into the medical profession but your idea on joining the Zapatistas is good and with a bit of finance from Ians idea i might be able to get it going:)

Thanks commrades

If I stayed on the dole my whole life, my life would be 10 times better than any member of an imperialist army, I would retain a degree of sanity and still be alive!

BTW anyone know about the Zapatistas stance on gringos joining thier ranks because they seem to be a better choice than the australian army or the nasty foreign legion.
