How many people here actualy think that we will live to see a radical left wing revolution in the world.

Not some banana republic one I mean a real revolution where the amerikkkan military tries to intervene but the people repel the invaders.
I truly think that the Marxists on Nepal have a good chance, I think definitatly the next revolution will be either Asian or African.

Any thoughts?

No time soon. A workers revolt would be crushed by the U.S. army (sigh). Without a huge number of soldiers defecting we don't have a chance. A group of untrained fighters would be useless, their only act would be to lay down their arms and surrender, expect for those of us who would go down in a blaze of glory... er gunfire. DEATH BEFORE DISHONOR, is what i've always said.

I think we have a better chance of just getting elected into power in the countries that are in need of revolution.

I completely disagree with you jetgrind. See the Revoltionj vs Election thread in politics for why.

I see revolution as inevitable. Right now I am struggling with Marxist and neo-Marxist (persae) ideology. I cannot even describe neo-Marxism, I only gave it that name for the sake of naming the beliefs that are coming over me.

Revolutoins are happening and they will continue to happen, and the more we are aware of them and the more we support them and promote them in our lands the closer we will be towards our final goal.

The next revolution, look South my friends (if you are in American or Canada that is). Not east or west, but south. Below us is the land that will liberate itselves, so it is our goal then to help them by liberating ourselves.

It isn't probable but it is possible.

All it takes is a combination of things, happening at the right time with the right people. Like all things to some degree.

It just takes a Ghandi, Hitler, Lenin, MLK Jr., Jesus, Mohamad, Fidel. Some type of Cult of Personality, some degree of dispair and some degree of education.

You have the dispair in most of the world, you are seeing the education being sent all over the place. You are seeing actual elections, actually electing socialists into office in S. America.

30 years ago, a sexual revolution in America, 80 years ago the start of the workers revolution.

These things don't happen always over night. History is dotted with starts of revolutions that went nowhere till a 100 years or more later.

And to be honest, about America at this point... The fucker is self-destructing at this point. An implossion if you will. It is swatting at fleas on its body using a knife.

It isn't very likely that somebody from the outside is going to do much to America, we'll do it to ourselves.

Uhh Crazypete, you do realise that 'Neo-Marxism' is seen by many comrades as a way to say you support China

Ok, I take that back. I just made it up because I have no idea what I am, although it is marxist but definitly not traditional. I am looking more into existentialism anyways.

Take away the neo-marxism from my previous post (i don't want to edit it out) and replace it with something more agreeable in your own mind

I don't care, neo-marxism makes me think of Matrix which I kinda like

revolution is in South America and Western Europe, lets hope Europe goes first.

But it all depends of leadership, good leadership means revolution, poor leadership (ie reformists or stalinists) means fuck revolution and dissullusionment for the workers for next few years

Posted it before and posting it again:

"Revolution in Russia", "Revolution in China" and "Revolution in Cuba" probably sounded pretty laughable at the time.

Although I won't laugh with Dhul, (as it would lower my self-esteem laughing at prospective revolutions/revolutionaries!) I must admit that I am encouraged by heaps of people wondering where their local revolution is!

Committed revolutionaries are the first step I suppose!

It is frustrating, but when you see a new person it is also encouraging, Ach I'm getting all sentimental!

Actually, I just meant that Andrey seems to have some sort of problem with the idea of a revolution in Nepal, I don't see why that is any stranger than on some Casino-driven island that's like twenty minutes from Florida! Not exactly a likely location, but it happened...

You can never tell, even Marx got it wrong, he thought it would all start in the West.

even if they won in nepal theyd get fuck all outta it, coz they wont be able to spread it, and will end ind standoff, and it wont be socialism any more, and they wud probably be defeated in the end anyway

Just let us hope some sort of leftist revolution will embark in Paris(thus France).
