well, i was listening to Anti-Flag
and i remembered their logo.
it's the star made up of broken M16s. you can find it on the front of their album "Mobilize".
i know they make shirts like that, but i don't have cash, and being 13 years old (please no comments on this) i don't have a job to get money with. basically, i want to spray-paint a design on a shirt. how do you think this will work? i think it's a dumb question, but considering how well paint stains my clothes, it might have a chance.
(by the way, the shirt is black)

The CD for mobilize comes with the stencil on the case, its a punch out image. What you want to go and get is some permanent fabric spray paint at any local art store and it will work. It is going to be a bit difficult on a black shirt, so for that I suggest you get some On The Run drip paint and use that, but sparingly.

For a black shirt in my experience, silkscreening is best as spraypaint is quite translucent.

Organic Revolution: actually the stencil comes with For Blood And Empire, but that's too small to use. thanks for the help, i will check those sites out :) this is one of my first posts on RevLeft

hmmm. make sure to put a sheet of cardboard or something inside the shirt to make sure that you don't get a weird messy image on the other side.

That's a great site, and you should use acrylic instead of spray paint, it's easier to control...won't show as well as screen printing ink, however.

QUESTION: before i left the forums for a while i noticed alot of threads like this popped up. I request: can I please make a stencilling tutorial and include info about the types of paint to use, how to wash etc etc with links to stencil websites, and have it made a sticky? then we can just add to it where we need to. i also have a method of making stencils that keeps them strong. i dunno if i got it from that mattrunningnaked site, haven't been on there in ages.
