Bush has now made May Day, a day that is supposed to be for the working class, in to a day to celebrate U.S. Imperialism.

Holy shit. Just reading that makes me sick. How in the hell can somebody go along with such a "we love our country" kind of proclamation. May 1st, I'm gonna destroy stuff.

They don't even see any need anymore to hide the fascist and imperialist nature of their politics.
The american elite and their marionette, George Bush, are as decadent and overly self-confident as so many of their predecessors ( the roman empire, for example ). I hope they will suffer the same fate, SOON!
"[...]These values must be imparted to each new generation. Our children need to know that our Nation is a force for good in the world, extending hope and freedom to others[...]"
Sounds like Hitler on crack.
"Loyalty Day".... how pathetic and rediculous that sounds.
The same old catchphrases, the same old rhetoric:
"Sacrifice for our nation" blah... blah... "our soldier's honor"... blah.. blah... followed by a bit of outdated bullshit from the constitution "liberty, and the pursuit of happiness" ( which could, in this context, mean anything really ).
Who, I ask myself, still believes in ( not even good ) propaganda like this?

I hope for all american people that this wannabe-cowboy and his bosses and followers will be kicked out of office asap.
America deserves better than that.
My condolences. ( not that the government of my country is much better ).
Down with nationalism!
Proletarian internationalism!
Our day will come.

Hampton, you live in the US? If you do you should stick that everywhere in your town in the middle of the night, that would be damn good.
Guys in the US, stand up for the real meaning of May Day. I'm relying on you to raise your voices and your fists next May Day and show those Whitehouse shits that this is the day of the workers and they will not be silenced or mislead!

Why is it that whenever someone posts a picture, I see the "Stealing Bandwith Causes Cancer" thing? :(

Man, I feel helpless right now. A 14-year old kid, and I can honestly do nothing.

As words of encouragement Lefty, you CAN do something. Accepting that you can't do anything is admitting defeat. I'm not sure your personal situation man, but always somethin you can do, even if it's just convincing those around you through conversation.

Does this sound familiar?:
"We have no interest in oppressing other people. We are not moved by hatred against any other nation. We bear no grudge. I know how grave a thing war is. I wanted to spare our people such an evil. It is not so much the country of Czechoslovakia; it is rather its leader, Edward Benes. He has lead a reign of terror. He has hurled countless people into the profoundest misery. Through his continous terrorism, he has succeeded in reducing millions of his people to silence. The Czech maintenance of a tremendous military arsenal can only be regarded as a focus of danger. We have displayed truly exemplary patience, but I am no longer willing to remain inactive while this madman mistreats millions of human beings."
That was Adolf Hitler, but just replace Czechoslovakia with Iraq and Edward Benes with Saddam and it sounds more like our good friend Dubyah.

Yuck, yuck yuck. I've just got round to reading the stuff on the website, it's grim, it's all lies. Why can't people see that the Whitehouse serves the rich and no one looks after the real people of America?!!!!
It makes me want to puke or scream or something. Yuck.
