If you are thinking of joining the army I would give you a piece of advice.
Perhaps you get the assignment of fighting against a revolutionary army somewhere in the world. There is a risk...
But if you enroll and get out again you have military experience which is very useful in revolution.
Would you consider to join the army? I know this subject have been up a couple of times, but would you?

#Moderation Mode
I think this belongs in Practice. Also, see numerous threads on this subject, including one in Opposing Ideologies.

admitadley Military training and expirience would prove extremely useful in fighting the revolution, and besides, learning "the enemie's" tactics, will be very useful when fighting it.
Yeah i'm thinking of joining because i like training more than working and it's the only way i can get money to leave this hellhole(australia) It is a currupt path to freedom but Qaddafi made it up to colonel in the brittish army and remaind untainted.
I was wondering if i could join 'em for 3 years and do a infantry coarse but i weigh 115kg because i'm a gym head and i'm worried that my weight will exceed the limit ,Dirty jersey or anyone else who'd know could i join?

never, unless the usa govt turned around 180 degrees or unless i needed a college scholarship.
but i'd rather compromise my virtue on the streets of new york city than to serve something i don't believe in.
Some say that you earn your training on the streets and within society. Some off us have the natural skill and mental attitude. You can learn enough from the history of warfare. Look at Che, Ho Chi Minh, Lenin etc they were never in the army.
Mind you it can benefit. Look at napolean, hitler, Mao, etc
Me? I wouldn't do it because it restricts your freedom to do over things I love such as Djing, Bmxing etc. But if you don't have those things then it would be a great weapon against the system.

I have never, nor would i ever, lower myself to join the army. You would merely be exploited to fight the battles of the cappie government, two evils which i refuse to associate myself with. I am a pacifist, and i am totally anti-american. The small benefits you obtain from army service are far outweighed by the other side. I recently read a news article about the somewhat 'unorthodox' recruiting techniques utilised by the US army. Threats, bribery, abuse, etc. Quite sad that Uncle Sam has sunk so low...... cheers

One of the organizers of a rally I go to was in the SOA.
He got out with the training and still hates the government.
I think that joining the military for the training would be a great idea.
I read an article in a newspaper wher it showed how many weapons have been stolen from the military and it made up a smal arsenal, showing what a conspirator in the armed forces could do.

I'm rather surprised, and dismayed, at some of the responses to this question. Join the U.S. army and you support imperialism. In addition, you are willingly giving yourself up as a pawn to the system, trained and order to serve the will of the military elite. You're a tool. I could think of few occupations worse than serving in the America's Army.
If you really want to train yourself in military expertice, there are other ways. It's not even gauranteed that we will have to use violence to achieve revolution. Let us not forget that Gandhi liberated India without firing a shot.
