You may wonder what I mean by the thread title. "Chaos Anarchism" is the popular image of anarchism as total chaos and irrationality, that anarchists would like the entire society to look like a mixture between a rave party and a warzone.
I wonder if not actual anarchists could actual earn more appeal by change their aesthetics to better reflect the image of "Chaos Anarchism"? I mean, the black block is resembling that in parts, but it has never taken the step full out.
I think it will make riots look quite more interesting...

The words "Anarchism" and "Dictatorship" have been misused ever since we came into the modern era.
They have been misused to such an extent, that when someone says "Anarchy", people immediatley think of escaped lunatics from a mental asylum having a rave in the middle of a warzone (As you said).
Its the same with "Dictatorship", which has been so taken out of its original context, that Leninists/Stalinists now think that Marx literally meant "Autocracy" and "Oligarchy" when he said "Dictatorship of the Proletariat"! (He meant Dictatorship of the class, not of a party;)).
Anyway Anarchists succumbing to a popular stereotype wouldnt do them any good IMO.
In the same way as Stalinists not purging and liquidating an "enemy of the state" would be out of the ordinary:p

I don't understand what you mean.
You're saying anarchists might seem more appealing in they dressed in a more 'chaos anarchist' sort of way?
Is this a serious question?

Why change our aesthetics to please a mass. We anarchists know what anarchism is, and we will continue to push for logical freedom, not the typical punk rock image of what anarchism is.
The Black Bloc is a tactic employed for autonomous action, not to play into kids ideas of chaos. Serpent, I think you may need to grow up.
